Turumah

Parsha Terumah

Exodus 25:1 – 27:21

Please Pray this
Prayer
Before reading.

In the name of Yahushua

Our Messiyah,

I pray for the Spirit of Understanding

The Spirit of Knowledge and

The Spirit of Wisdom

As I read through this Parsha

The underlying them of Terumah is this: All ABBA YAHVEH wants for us is to truly desire His Light, which is to build our Menorah.

Once we have accomplished this everything will be available to us.

The Yisraelites were struggling to find material to build the Tabernacle, but when they awaken withen their community desire to give more than they were capable of giving, ABBA YAHVEH help them. This Torah portion of Terumah is all about our desire.

In this Parsha EL YAHVEH, is about to establish a different Principle to illustrate how to achieve His Ultimate objective, that is to create perfect Sons. The Tabernacle is the resting place for EL YAHVEH Presence, also call the Shechinah Glory.

With the exception of the tragic incident of the Golden Calf (32-33), the rest of the Book of Exodus is devoted to the preparations for and the construction of the Mishkan, the dwelling place or the Tabernacle. Today, we as believers are the ultimate objective for the Presence of EL YAHVEH to dwell in.

Even the account of the Golden Calf is not unrelated to the Tabernacle for the very construction of the Tabernacle was made necessary only because the Children of Yisrael lapse into idolatry.

Ideally no tabernacle should have been needed after the Revelation at Mount Sinai, the entire nation had a chance to achieve a level of prophecy, unheard of in the history of mankind, a mass Burning Bush experience, only grander in scale, but comparable to that of Moses.

The Shechinah Glory was supposed to rest on the entire Camp, as it later did on the Tabernacle, the Temple and on Yahushua. These three manifestations are the three perfect types in Scripture. The Children of Yisrael lost that position, due to unbelief.

It is only after the Children of Yisrael gave up that chance for a high level of spirituality, as a result of the worship of the Golden Calf, did it become necessary for it to have a substitute Tabernacle.

The fact that the instructions regarding the erection of the Tabernacle were given in this chapter is an instance of the common principle that the Torah is not always written in the chronological order in which the events occurred.

The commandments regarding the Tabernacle are given here because the Tabernacle, a physical manifestation of the so-called rituals and laws are interrelated. The redemption from Egypt was not complete with the physical departure from Egypt as Christianity teaches, nor was it to be completed at Mount Sinai, the giving of the Ten Commandment, even though the Revelation at Sinai was the goal of the Exodus.

The Exodus from Egypt will not achieve its purpose until Pentecost becomes a reality in our lives. Pentecost is the giving of the Torah and the Menorah (Holy Spirit).

The construction of the Tabernacle was to be a permanent reminder to the Children of Yisrael, of what they could have achieved at Sinai. The Tabernacle as a whole and in its many parts was symbolic of the historic experience at Mount Sinai. The Ark was to be a portable Mount Sinai, meaning that anytime anyone of the Children of Yisrael could make the effort to experience what they could achieve at Sinai.

In essence the Tabernacle was intended to be the central rallying point of the people, surrounded by the tribes and topped by the cloud of YAHVEH’s presence; its three compartments, illustrate the different levels spiritually, that every believer regardless of their position could achieve.

Exo 25:1 EL YAHVEH said to Moshe, - To emphasize again it is EL YAHVEH Himself who is speaking. We cannot swear falsely or used His name in any situation in which He did not speak.

Exo 25:2  "Tell the people of Yisra'el to take up a collection for me -accept a contribution from anyone who wholeheartedly wants to give. – In preparation for building the Tabernacle, the Yisraelites had to gather gold, silver, animal skins, and other fabric. According to Torah, ABBA YAHVEH instructs Moses to speak to the Children of Yisrael, telling them that they should take from HIM a Terumah.

The word Terumah is often translated as “charity” or giving, so at first glance, it appears that the Yisraelites were being told to give something of their own. But this was taken from Me a Terumah means that Yisraelites were to take something that rightfully belonged to the CREATOR and contribute this to the building of the Tabernacle.

The CREATOR intended that Yisrael should give whatever they could of their own belongings and that Moses would then awaken their true desire to give more. Had they given only what they were physically capable of giving, without kindling their desire to do more, there would not have been material enough to build the Tabernacle.

However, because their desire to give was so strong, it was supported by the Creator. In other words, if Yisrael had only one piece of gold, but the desire to give two pieces, the CREATOR would allow the gold to be multiply according to our desire to give.

This Torah portion elucidates the idea that desire is a very important thing in the believer’s life. Desire is everything. It was Moses’ true desire that the Menorah should reveal the Light of the CREATOR, HE need more believers like Moses with a tremendous desire to reveal the Light of the Menorah and to manifest this awesome tool to the world.

The majority of humans believe it is themselves who accomplish what they achieved in this world, but Moses knew batter. Moses knew that he could only achieve true desire apart from the Light of the CREATOR. When we help someone, if we think it is we who are doing the work, we will accomplish very little. It is only when we realize that we cannot do anything except awaken in ourselves the desire for the light, can the CREATOR step in and helps.

Then and only then, do miracle become possible. The Purpose of the discussion back and forth between the CREATOR and Moses at Mt. Sinai was not to developed Moses ability to build the Menorah, but to perfect his desire, his ego.

In the context of this Torah portion, poses a wonderful question: how do we know if the Light of the CREATOR is in someone, or within us? The only way to be sure is to sense the desire for the Light, either in ourselves or in someone else.

What we know and how we act are not accurate indications of how connected we are to the Light of the CREATOR. A person can be amazingly successful or wise, yet have no connection to the Holy Spirit. The Torah tell us in Galation 3:21 that the fruit of the Spirit, is the only way to determine the influence of the Light of the Menorah in our lives.

On this particular Shabbat, we need to ask the CREATOR to please give us an awakening of Spiritual desire for Wisdom and Understanding, council and authority, knowledge and the fear of YAHVEH, because this is the source of everything that is good and true.

It is incumbent on all true ministers of Torah to convey the uncompromised Word to the people. Take up a free will offering; not an offering that have been coerce. People should contribute for the building of the Tabernacle purely for the love of EL YAHVEH, not because of social pressure or inquest of honor. The terms take means to receive or request, this is not a levy a tax on them, but voluntary contribution.

Exo 25:3  The contribution you are to take from them is to consist of gold, silver and bronze; - There were three separate portions of silver, two of which were obligatory. They were: half-shekel portions from every Hebrew that was used to make the sockets for the Tabernacle planks, and an annual half shekel portion that went into a fund to purchase communal offerings for the Temple service. The original gifts of silver were used to make vessels for the Tabernacle.

The three types of metal, illustrate the three types of people, those in the Holy of holies, those in the Holy Place and those in the Outer Court, they all make up the tabernacle. In the Kingdom they are the ones who sit on the throne Rev 3:21; there are those who stand around the Throne, Rev. 7:11; and there are those who stand in front of the throne Rev 7:15.

Exo 25:4  blue, purple and scarlet yarn; fine linen, goat's hair, - The first three items in this verse are different colors of wool. Techeiles, the first of the three, was made from the secretion of a rare amphibious animal known as chilazon, whose exact identity has become forgotten with the passage of time.

Exo 25:5 tanned ram skins and fine leather; acacia-wood; - According to the Stone Chumash the ram skin is made from the tachash skin a beautiful colored animal that existed at that time. Its hide was used to make a Cover for the Tabernacle. Acacia wood comes from the Acacia tree, a thorny plant, very dense.

Exo 25:6 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense; - Pure virgin oil for the lamp. Spices were needed as ingredient in the anointment oil for the Tabernacle and its vessels, kings and kohanim and for the daily incense offering.

Exo 25:7  onyx stones and other stones to be set, for the ritual vest and breastplate. – Various precious and semi-precious stones were used in the vestment of the Kohem Gadol, High Priest. They will be describe in chapter 28.

Exo 25:8 “They are to make me a sanctuary, so that I may live among them. – The sanctuary was to be a structure dedicated to YAHVEH’s service. Elegant synagogues are meaningless unless they are build for the sake of EL YAHVEH. So that I may dwell among them.

The original purpose was for us to build up our body that EL YAHVEH may dwell in us. Like everything He has shown us, in the manner that YAHVEH Presence Himself that was shown to us on Mount Sinai was to revel the Divine purpose.

Exo 25:9 you are to make it according to everything I show you - the design of the tabernacle and the design of its furnishings. This is how you are to make it. – The Pattern must be made exactly according to what EL YAHVEH showed Moses. This is only one of several warning to Moses and to the rest of the redeem community, to make sure we build our lives His way. The road to Heavens is straight and narrow. The design of the Tabernacle is one of the perfect plan EL YAHVEH gave to the redeem community; nothing about it must be of man doing, except for obedience.

Exo 25:10 “They are to make an ark of acacia-wood two and a half cubits its length; a cubit and a half its width; and a cubit and a half its height. – One of the Principles EL YAHVEH institute, is that He always reveal the objective first. Moses was told to build a Tabernacle; the first project in completing this task was to build the Ark, which is a symbol of the perfect man. It should be built from Acacia wood; which is a very difficult wood to work with, just like human. This ugly wood must be turn into an object that holds the very Essence of EL YAHVEH HIMSELF. The ultimate purpose of EL YAHVEH is to turn our body into a living sacrifice, Holy unto The Kings of Kings.

The two long side are 2.5 cubits each making it 5 cubit, five is the number of Grace. Grace is very essential in our spiritual development. The other two sides are both 1.5 making 3 cubits. The number 3 represent Divine completeness and perfection.

Exo 25:11  You are to overlay it with pure gold -overlay it both inside and outside -and put a molding of gold around the top of it. – The Ark was to overlay with pure goal; pure gold is a type of gold that has been purified seven times, until it became transparent. It is when our outward and inward actions become transparent to The Kings of Kings that we will be like Moses, shining from the inside. Our crowing glory is when the Holy Spirit come and remains permanent on us, that we are truly a mature believer. This is when our inner character matches our public demeanor, when our actions must conform to our professed beliefs.

Exo 25:12 Cast four gold rings for it, and attach them to its four feet, two rings on each side. There were a total of four rings, two of which were on one side and two of which were on the other, and the staves (poles) were inserted into them. The rings were placed near the top of the width of the Ark, so that its two-and-half cubic length was between the staves. Therefore when the Ark was carried, its bearer stood along the Ark’s length, with the staves on their shoulders.

Exo 25:13 Make poles of acacia-wood, and overlay them with gold. – The pole that supports the Ark was to be of the same substance as the Ark itself. Meaning that those around us, those who support us in our endeavor must be like minded. The two poles also represent the Word and the Holy Spirit, both essential support for a mature believer or a believer who is going on to perfection.

Exo 25:14 Put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark; you will use them to carry the ark. Both poles, one represent the Torah and the other represent the Menorah; the Word and the Holy Spirit, must always be the supporting bars of the Ark. The Spirit and the Truth is the life line of all those who which to come into the Holy Place. The four rings represent north south, east and west, where ever we go in this world, the Word and the Spirit must always be our supporting units.

Exo 25:15 The poles are to remain in the rings of the ark; they are not to be removed from it. – If one of these poles should be removed, it would be almost impossible to move the Ark with any ease. As a believer when the Word or the Holy Spirit is remove from us, then we are in trouble. These two support structure must never be removed from the life of the believer.

Exo 25:16  Into the ark you are to put the testimony which I am about to give you. – The objective of every believer is to be the source of the Testimony of our Creator, the Torah. See also Exo 40:20.

Exo 25:17  "You are to make a cover for the ark out of pure gold; it is to be  two and a half cubits  long and a cubic and a half its width. – The Covering of the Ark was to be made of solid gold, and was made to lay flat on top of the four walls of the Ark. This covering was to be the Crowning Glory of the Ark; the fact that it was made of Pure Gold is significant in that it represent the Shechinah. When EL YAHVEH came and rested on Mount Sinai, it was an illustration that it was the Children of Yisrael, EL YAHVEH wanted to come and rest Himself upon the people.

Exo 25:18 you are to make two k'ruvim of gold. Make them of hammered work for the two ends of the ark-cover. The two Cherubim one on each end of the Cover, They had large wings and the face of children. The Cherubim were not made separately and then attached to the Cover. The entire Cherubim had to be hammered out, of one large piece of gold.

The term hammered, signified the process we have to endure to become a person on which the Shechinah Glory rest. Consider it all joy when people will say all manner of things about us falsely.

The covering also is translated mercy seat. We also know that our forgiveness and covering of our sins is by the blood of the Slain Lamb. That Lamb is Yahushua.

Exo 25:19 Make one koru(Churub) for one end and one koru(Cherub) for the other end; make the k'ruvim of one piece with the ark-cover at its two ends. – It was two Cherubim’s that guard the way back to the Garden of Eden after Adam and Eve was driven out, it is two Cherubim that also guard the very presence of EL YAHVEH, for the mature believer.

Exo 25:20 The k'ruvim will have their wings spread out above, so that their wings cover the ark, and their faces are toward each other and toward the ark-cover. – Instead of the sword that spine every way, that protect the entrance to Eden, the mature believer will be covered by the wings of these most powerful of Cherubim.

Exo 25:21 You are to put the ark-cover on top of the ark. "Inside the ark you will put the testimony that I am about to give you. – The covering for the believer must be on top of the Ark. We also know that there will be three objects in the Ark when it is complete. Here we see the furnishing of the Ark been assemble. The first object to be place in the Ark is Ten Commandments.

If the Ark contains the Covenant, and we are supposed to be the ones who are suppose to learn and safeguard the covenant, and the covering is place on top of the Ark when the covenant is inside. What spiritual lesson does this teaches us? It teaches us that the Shechinah will be upon us when we internalize the Covenant, the marriage contract, the Torah!

Exo 25:22 There I will meet with you. I will speak with you from above the Ark-cover, from between the two k'ruvim which are on the ark for the testimony, about all the orders I am giving you for the people of Yisra'el. – When EL YAHVEH spoke to Moses, the Voice would come from Heavens to the Top of the Cover, and from between the Cherubim it would emanate to where Moses stood, in the outer court.

When a believer reaches this lofty position of a Mature Believer, like Moses we will hear the Voice of EL YAHVEH. We are warned in Revelation 3:13; 3:22 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit. Hearing is first of all a spiritual condition.

Notice the order in which the furniture of the Tabernacle are being built. First the Ark, then the Altar of Showbread. This table was to be place on the north side of the Tabernacle in the Holy Place. Where twelve loaves of bread, were to be place every Sabbath. These twelve loves represent the twelve Torah for the twelve tribes of Yisrael.

Exo 25:23You are to make a table of acacia-wood two cubits its length, a cubit its width, and a cubit and a half its height. – Again this Altar like the Ark was to be made of Acacia wood overlay with gold. Two cubit times 2 equal four, the number for north south, east and west. The Torah the Word is for everyone, one cubits wide times 2 represent 2 the number of separation. The Torah is the constitution of the Kingdom of the Heavens that determines the separation from the world system. Three is the number of perfection. 1Ki 8:61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with YAHVEH our EL, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

Exo 25:24 Overlay it with pure gold, and put a molding of gold around the top of it.The Torah, the Word. The Altar of Showbread is one of the same things. The Word without the Holy Spirit is just another religious activity. The Word with the Holy Spirit brings forth life. We must set a mold a guard around the Torah, for it is our Constitution. It must be regarded as an instrument for perfection; nothing about it can ever be change.

Exo 25:25  Make around it a rim a handbreadth wide, and put a molding of gold around the rim. – The contents must be protected from distortion by the Mighty Hand, of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher. This mighty hand must always be in the Shechinah Glory in the implication of this Altar. Too often, too many people tend to want to minister at this Altar who have no understanding of the Truth.

Exo 25:26 Make four gold rings for it, and attach the rings to the four corners, near its four legs. – This Alter must be set up in the four corner of the Globe. Mar 16:15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the Good News to every creature. The four rings are the Prophet, evangelist, pastors and the teachers.

Exo 25:27 The rings to hold the poles used to carry the table are to be placed close to the rim. – The four rings are to carry the Torah and the Holy Spirit into the entire world. The two poles used to support this Altar are still those who are filled with the Word and the Spirit.

Exo 25:28 Make the poles of acacia-wood, overlay them with gold, and use them to carry the table. The pole used to carry this Altar is those who are balance in both the Word and the Spirit, one pole should not be longer than the other, they must be balance.

Exo 25:29 Make its dishes, pans, bowls and pitchers of pure gold. – This verse lists the utensils that were used in conjunction with the Table. There were twelve dishes for the feeding of the twelve tribes. Within each of the twelve’s tribes are several pans, and individual bowls. Regardless if we eat from a dish, a pan, or a bowl the bread is sufficient to fill our spiritual appetite. Two spoon of Frankincense were place upon the two pile of bread.

Exo 25:30 On the table you are to place the bread of the presence in my presence always.Every sixth day, twelve loaves of bread were baked. They were place on this Table on the Sabbath; the old breads (Parasha) were divided among the Priest.

The Menorah in its simplest form, its base, the difference branches, the different ornaments are all symbolic. It is place in the Holy Place across from the Altar of Showbread. The seven light of the Menorah are used to provide light when eaten the bread from the previous altar.

The Menorah whose flame are fed by the purest oil of the olive, symbolized the illumination of the intellect. This Altar was place on the southern part of the Holy of Holies opposite the Alter of Showbread on the North.

The seven light of the Menorah are describe in Isaiah 11:2 The Spirit of יהוה  shall rest upon Him – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of יהוה , Revelation 5:6 And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim sent out into all the earth.

Exo 25:31 “You are to make a menorah of pure gold. It is to be made of hammered work; its base, shaft, cups, ring of outer leaves and petals are to be of one piece with it. – This is the first Altar that is made from solid gold with no Acacia wood. This Altar is a representative of the Spirit of EL YAHVEH. This is a symbol of who we are called to be. It is to be made from solid gold hammered into shape by the circumstance of life.

The Spirit of Wisdom is the ability to walk according to Torah, The Spirit of Understanding is to understand Torah, The Spirit of Counsel is to give advice using Torah, The Spirit of Authority is to walk in the authority of Torah. The Spirit of Knowledge is the Knowledge of Torah; The Spirit of Fear of EL YAHVEH is to have a reverence of The King of Kings.

Exo 25:32 It is to have six branches extending from its sides, three branches of the menorah on one side of it and three on the other. - The six branches were to grow out of the Spirit of EL YAHVEH, the Spirit of Wisdom, the Spirit of Counsel and Knowledge on one side, the Spirit of Understanding, Might, and the Fear of EL YAHVEH on the other. Isa 6:2 above it stood seraphim. Each one had six wings: with two he covered his face, with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. 3 And one cried to another and said, “ Holy, Holy, Holy or Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart is יהוה  of hosts; all the earth is filled with His esteem!  It is the job of the Holy Spirit to set believers apart unto EL YAHVEH.

Rev 4:8 And the four living creatures, each having six wings, were covered with eyes around and within. And they do not cease, day or night, saying, “Set-apart, set-apart, set-apart, יהוה  Ěl SHADDAI, who was, and who is, and who is coming!” – Every human has within them the very essence of EL YAHVEH. We are told that when we were created EL YAHVEH breath into our body the breath of life, this breath of life is the seed of the Holy Spirit. This seed begins to grow the moment we accept Yahushua (Jesus Christ) as Lord. Our Lord and Savor send us the Holy Spirit to help us build or grow our Menorah to maturity. The sixth days of Creation are the sixth stages in our spiritual development. Upon completion of these sixth stages we will become a spiritual mature individual. The Ark of the Covenant is another example of that maturity factor.

Exo 25:33  On one branch are to be three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a ring of outer leaves and petals; likewise on the opposite branch three cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with a ring of outer leaves and petals; and similarly for all six branches extending from the menorah. Each branch of the Menorah is described in the book of Proverbs. 3:13 Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, And the man who gets understanding; 8:14 “Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, mightiness is mine. Pro 14:18 The simple shall inherit folly, But the clever are crowned with knowledge. Pro 14:26 In the fear of יהוה  is strong trust, And His children have a place of refuge.27 The fear of יהוה  is a fountain of life, To turn away from the snares of death. These three cups represent Almond fruits, the same as Aaron Rod that bud. The Almond plant bare fruits every year, each branch should take three years to develop, or to come to maturity.

Exo 25:34 On the central shaft of the menorah are to be four cups shaped like almond blossoms, each with its ring of outer leaves and petals. In Lev 19:23 ‘And when you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall reckon their fruit as uncircumcised. For three years it is as uncircumcised to you, it is not eaten. 24 ‘And in the fourth year all its fruit is set-apart – praises to יהוה . 25 ‘And in the fifth year you eat its fruit, so that it increases its yield to you. I am יהוה  your Elohim. – The six days of Creation and the Almond fruits of the Menorah are one of the same, we build our Menorah as we read through our Torah each week and each yearly cycle. The different fruits are the fruit of the Spirit we develop each year. The quality of fruits depends on our obedience to Torah’s commandments.

Exo 25:35  Where each pair of branches joins the central shaft is to be a ring of outer leaves of one piece with the pair of branches -thus for all six branches. – Last year fruits are the source of the next year growth.

Exo 25:36 The rings of outer leaves and their branches are to be of one piece with the shaft. Thus the whole menorah is to be a single piece of hammered work made of pure gold. – The Menorah must be ,made from one solid piece of gold, meaning that our spiritual life must be made out of one single principle found only in Torah and not a hodge-podge of separate bits and pieces, grafted together to suit anyone’s convenience. All area of a believer life must derive from the same set of values found only in the Torah.

Exo 25:37  "Make seven lamps for the menorah, and mount them so as to give light to the space in front of it.

Exo 25:38 Its tongs and trays are to be of pure gold. These are the implements that were used to clean and prepare the lamps. With the tongs, the Kohen would grip the wicks to place them in the oil. The spoons were used to remove the previous day’s ash and other residue so that the lamps could be prepared for the new day’s lighting. We cannot use a person who has not built their personal Menorah, to instruct or help someone else build theirs. To often in Christianity, we have children spiritually trying to teach other how to come maturity.

Exo 25:39 The menorah and its utensils are to be made of a talent of pure gold. -  A Talents is three thousand shekels or approximately 2400 ounces.

Exo 25:40  See that you make them according to the design being shown you on the mountain. – In the construction of this Altar we are to make it according to the pattern or the standard out line in Torah. No manmade opinion is acceptable in the Kingdom of Heavens. I often hear believers say this is what I believe, if I do not believe in gravity it does not mean it does not exist, if I do not believe in a God, it does not mean there is not One.

This next Chapter starts with the covering of the Tabernacle. The Tabernacle had three or four cover, one on top of the other, two of them are made of fabric and the other of animal hide.

It was known as the tabernacle tent or cover. It is note worthy that the one that rest immediately atop the structure’s air space was known simply as the  Mishkan, implying that the cover represented the function of the entire structure of the same name.

By covering the inside of the Holy Place and Holy of Holies with this covering, it unified everything that was inside the Tabernacle, meaning that the Ark, Table, Menorah, and Golden Altar were not unrelated vessels, each performing its own separate task, but were all part of a united whole.

Indeed, this represents the Philosophy of Torah; Learning, the ritual, business practices, and so on, do not spin in a separate orbit apart from Torah, but work together towards a single spiritual goal.

The first covering is a representation of the singleness in purpose that joins both the Holy Place Altars and The Holy of Holies Ark of the Covenant. This corresponds to the thesis that the curtains of the Tabernacle symbolized the unification of all the elements of the Tabernacle.

In order to understand how the covering was place upon the Mishkan, it is necessary to know the dimensions of the structure and the thickness of its walls. These computations will be look at as well as the dimension of covering.

Chapter 26

Exo 26:1 “You are to make the tabernacle with ten sheets of finely woven linen and with blue, purple and scarlet yarn. You are to make them with k'ruvim worked in, that have been crafted by a skilled artisan. The fabric was to be made from blue, purple, and red fabrics. Blue represent Divine character, purple represent royalty, and red represent the atoning blood. Ten is the number of Divine perfection. There are 10 commandments (Ex. 20); 1/10 of your income is a tithe; the were 10 plagues on Egypt (Ex. 9:14ff); 10 x 10 silver sockets formed the foundation of the Tabernacle (Ex 38:27); There are 10 "I AM"'s spoken by Messiyah” in John: 1) I am the Bread of Life (6:35); 2) I am the Bread of Life which came down from Heavens (6:41); 3) I am the Living Bread (6:51); 4) I am the Light of the world (8:12); 5) I am One that bears witness of Myself (8:18); 6) I am the Door of the sheep (10:7,9); 7) I am the Good Shepherd (10:14); 8) I am the Resurrection and the Life (14:6); 9) I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life (11:25); and 10) I am the True Vine (15:1,5). Ten is also the number testimony, law, and responsibility.

Exo 26:2 Each one is to be twenty-eight cubit long and four cubits wide; all the sheets are to be the same size. - Twenty is the number of redemption; eight is the number of new beginning. 8 people on Noah's Ark; circumcision on 8th day; YAHVEH made 8 covenants with Abraham. Four is the number of the World or Creation. The implications of these numbers are straightforward. It is the responsibility of everyone to seek redemption, the source of new beginning. Who so ever will may come?

Exo 26:3 Five sheets are to be joined one to another, and the other five sheets are to be joined one to another. – Five is the number of YAHVEH Grace while two is the number of union or division.

Exo 26:4 Make loops of blue on the edge of the outermost sheet in the first set, and do the same on the edge of the outermost sheet in the second set. – Blue is the color of the sky, symbolizing Heavenly character. This character is what Galatians 5:21 call the fruit of the Spirit.

Exo 26:5 Make fifty loops on the one sheet, and make fifty loops on the edge of the sheet in the second set; the loops are to be opposite one another. – Fifty is the Number of the Holy Spirit, as in fifty days to Pentecost. This Heavenly character must be the instrument used to bind the believer together in love.

Exo 26:6 Make fifty fasteners of gold, and couple the sheets to each other with the fasteners, so that the tabernacle forms a single unit. - These fifty gold fasteners are symbolic of the Holy Spirit, the unifying Force of the universe. 2Co 4:13 but having the same spirit of belief, according to what has been written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak,

Exo 26:7  "You are to make sheets of goat's hair to be used as a tent covering the tabernacle; make eleven sheets. – The second covering, called a tent was place directly over the first covering; there were no space between them. There were to be eleven of them. Eleven is the number of judgment and disorder. The goat hair is from the sacrificial goat called Yahushua, or Jesus Christ.

The second covering was made of goat hair. This covering symbolized the need for the sin offering and for cleansing. It is significant that this outer curtain of goat hair was laid on top of the inner curtain. If the inner curtain is symbolic of purity and righteousness, then the place for the goat hair is most appropriate. It clearly pictures that a person’s sins must be forgiven before he can appreciate a Righteous Elohim.

Most likely, this goatskin covering was black. This covering of goat hair was coarse to touch, unlike the soft fine linen of the inner curtains. Contrasted with the beautiful blue, purple, and scarlet curtain that was embroidered with cherubim, the curtains of goat hair speak of sacrifice, the fact that YAHVEH forgives our sins through the blood of the sacrifice.

Exo 26:8 Each sheet is to be thirty cubit and  four cubit wide -all eleven sheets are to be the same size. – Thirty represent the Blood of Yahushua (Jesus Christ) and four for the world. The Blood of Yahushua is for the world.

Exo 26:9 Join five sheets together and six sheets together, and fold the sixth sheet double at the front of the tent. - Five represent grace, while six represent the Weakness of man the flesh, evils of Satan, manifestation of sin. Grace must be coupled to the weakness of man to allow him to come to maturity.

Exo 26:10 Make fifty loops on the edge of the outermost sheet in the first set and fifty loops on the edge of the outermost sheet in the second set. – It is the Holy Spirit that joins the covering of one body to another. As it is the Holy Spirit that keep the covering of the Tabernacle, the Mishkan together.

Exo 26:11 Make fifty fasteners of bronze, put the fasteners in the loops, and join the tent together, so that it forms a single unit. - We are to make fifty fastener of bronze, where bronze represents redemption. Without redemption the Tabernacle could not be a unified whole, without redemption we would not have access to the different Altars of the Tabernacle.

Exo 26:12 As for the overhanging part that remains of the sheets forming the tent, the half-sheet remaining is to hang over the back of the tabernacle;

Exo 26:13 and the cubit on the one side and the cubic on the other side of that remaining in the length of the sheets forming the tent is to hang over the tabernacle to cover it on each side. Each section of the Tabernacle curtains was four by twenty-eight cubits; each section of the Tent curtain was four by thirty. Of these extra two cubits of length, one should hang over the front and the other the back. This extra symbolize that there is enough and even extra covering for the tabernacle and more.

Exo 26:14 “You are to make a covering for the tent of tanned ram skins and an outer covering of fine leather. The Tabernacle is to have two extra covering one from a ram skins and the other of Tachash skins.

The outer covering of leather is a picture of separation, of being protected from the world and the things in the world.

The believer need protection from the unclean things: 2Co 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Messiyah, he is a renewed creature – the old matters have passed away, see, all matters have become renewed!1 Footnote: 1Rom. 6:2-22, Gal. 2:20, Eph. 4:22-24, Col. 3:10, 1 John 3:9-10. 18 And all matters are from Elohim, who has restored us to favor with Himself through יהושע Messiyah, and has given us the service of restoration to favor,

The believers need protection from the pleasures of the world. 1Jn 2:15 do not love the world nor that which is in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.1 Footnote: 1Jm. 4:4.16 Because all that is in the world – the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life – is not of the Father but is of the world.

Yahushua protect us by saving us from the wrath of YAHVEH against sin and evil: Joh 3:16 “For Elohim so loved the world that He gave His only brought-forth Son, so that everyone who believes in Him should not perish but possess everlasting life.

Yahushua protect us by sanctifying us, setting us apart unto YAHVEH. 1Co 1:30 And of Him you are in Messiyah יהושע, who became for us wisdom from Elohim, righteousness also, and set-apartness and redemption,

Yahushua protect us by surrounding us. Psa 125:2 As the mountains surround Yerushalayim, So יהוה  surrounds His people, Now and forever.

Each of them was ten by thirty cubits and they were place on top of the goat-hair covering. Ten by thirty represent: the testimony of the Blood is our covering. Heb 9:14 how much more shall the blood of the Messiyah, who through the everlasting Spirit offered Himself unblemished to Elohim, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living Elohim? Rev 12:11 “And they overcame him because of the Blood of the Lamb, and because of the Word of their witness, and they did not love their lives to the death.

The Tabernacle’s its walls were made of huge planks of Acacia wood. Each of the planks were ten cubits long, one and a half cubits wide one cubit thick. The Tabernacle were ten cubits high, the north and the south wall were made of 20 planks making it thirty cubits long, the west and east wall was ten cubits wide.

The curtains and coverings would have been useless without the wooden framing. The wooden framing had a very practical purpose: top support the curtain and the covering. Instead of a solid wall of gold covered boards, it is most likely that the Tabernacle was build like a trellis. A solid wall of board would have blocked the inner linen curtains from being seen by the priest

Exo 26:15 Make the upright planks for the tabernacle out of acacia-wood. – These planks were to stand upright, stand erect. It is those of us as human who have being covered by YAHVEH Glory that should stand erect and hold up the Covering of EL YAHVEH to the world to see.

Exo 26:16 Each plank is to be ten cubit long and one and a half cubicr  wide. – Ten is the number of EL YAHVEH Testimony; they are those who stand in support of the Tabernacle. One and a half represent an incomplete number. Yahushua send out His disciples in two’s Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Exo 26:17 There are to be two projections on each plank, and the planks are to be joined one to another. That is how you are to make all the planks for the tabernacle. While two is the number of separation onto Holiness, two is also symbolic of union one to another. The support structure on the Tabernacle here on Earth must be those who have made a choice to follow a separate walk unto righteousness, they must be refine in their physical walk, and covered in the Glory of YAHVEH.

Exo 26:18 “Make the planks for the tabernacle as follows: twenty planks for the south side, facing southward. – Redemption, redemption must be the cry of the Tabernacle at all time; as twenty is the number of redemption.

Exo 26:19 Make forty silver sockets under the twenty planks, two sockets under one plank for its two projections and two sockets under another plank for its two projections. -  Forty is the number of Trials, Probation, and Testing, Twenty is the number of redemption, two is the number of separation, and one is the number of unity. Trials, and Testing is part of the probation that redemption give to those who are separate, to be in unity with the Father.

Exo 26:20 “For the second side of the tabernacle, to the north, make twenty planks. -

Exo 26:21 and their forty silver sockets, two sockets under one plank and two under another. -

Exo 26:22 “For the rear part of the tabernacle, toward the west, make six planks. The rear of the Tabernacle was six planks. Six is the number that represents: Weakness of Man, Evils of Satan, and Manifestation of Sin.

Exo 26:23 For the corners of the tabernacle in the rear, make two planks; - The six planks mentioned in the last verse and the two corner planks accounted for a width of nine cubits along the west wall. One more plank was added to its north and south corners. Since the north wall was one cubit thick, it covered one cubit of the corner plank, leaving half a cubit exposed. The same is true of the south corner. Therefore, the entire west wall consisted of eight planks, measuring twenty cubits, of which ten cubits were open space on the side on the inside of the Tabernacle, and two cubits were flush against the thickness of the north and south walls. Consequently, the inner dimensions of the Tabernacle were ten by thirty cubits. Ten represent the Testimony, Law, and Responsibility and thirty represent: - The Blood of Christ, Dedications.

Exo 26:24 these are to be double from the bottom all the way to the top but joined at a single ring. Do the same with both of them; they are to form the two corners. The duplication of the top and the bottom is significant. What we see in Heavens is also what should happen here on earth. Or what we practice here on earth we will also do in Heavens. A sobering taught isn’t it.

Exo 26:25 Thus there will be eight planks with their silver sockets, sixteen sockets, two sockets under one plank and two under another.Since eight represent: - New Birth, New Creation, or New Beginning. Sixteen represent: - Love, Two represent separation and one Unity. Silver also represents redemption. The foundation of the true Church should be and will always be redemption, which separates us in love, for a new beginning.

Exo 26:26 “Make crossbars of acacia-wood, five for the planks of the one side of the tabernacle, - Five is the number of Grace, and ministry. In terms of ministry, the fivefold ministry of the Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor and Teacher.

Exo 26:27 five crossbars for the planks of the other side of the tabernacle, and five crossbars for the planks at the side of the tabernacle at the rear toward the west. The fivefold ministry is an integral part of the Tabernacle, then as it is to be now. The one-man dictator call the Pastor is not biblical.

Exo 26:28 The middle crossbar, halfway up the planks, is to extend from end to end. – The middle bar, the one that is not seen, represents the office of the Evangelist. While the two on top represent the Apostle and the Prophet, while the two below represent the Pastor and the teacher. This is what I called the Mighty Hand of EL YAHVEH. The Big finger and the pointing finger are the Apostle and the Prophet. The longest finger the Evangelist; while the last two fingers are the ring and the little finger, represent the Pastor and the Teacher. Evangelism must be a continuous process from creation to the end of the world.

The bars were made to strengthen the walls and keep the planks together more firmly. The bars were held in place by rings attached to the planks, one-fourth of the way down from the top and one-fourth of the way up from the bottom.

The bars on the top and bottom were half the length of the respective walls; four bars of 15 cubits each for the north and the south, and four bars of six cubits each for the west. While the bars along the middle of each wall extend all the way. The middle bar was not attached by rings, but by a hole bore through the middle of the planks.

Exo 26:29 Overlay the planks with gold, make gold rings for them through which the crossbars will pass, and overlay the crossbars with gold. – We know that gold represent the glory, those of us who are in the Kingdom must be covered with gold. However, there are different degrees of purity for gold. When gold is first mined it is contaminated with earth, the building block of the flesh. Through the process of sanctification the gold become purer over a period of time. It is this common denominator that binds us to each outer. The bars will pass through the rings, but it will not become apart of the planks, in the process of passing trough it, it will strengthen the planks, to be in unison with the others planks.

Exo 26:30  "You are to erect the tabernacle according to the design you have been shown on the mountain. – The Tabernacle, the dwelling place of YAHVEH glory, is a representation of the church, it must be arrange in the same manner as the design shown to Moses.

The Tabernacle was divided into two chambers, the Holy of Holies, which no one ever enter except for the Kohen Gadol on Yom Kippur, and the Holy Place, which may be entered by any Kohen who is not in a state of spiritual contamination, and who enters either to perform the service or to prostrate there.

The divider between the two domains was the Paroches, or Partition, which was a hung from a bar attached to the top of the pillars described in this passages. The Partition was ten by ten cubits for the Holy of Holies, and the Holy place was ten by twenty.

Ten by ten equal one thousand, one thousand is the number of Divine completeness. Ten by twenty equal two thousand the responsibility of redemption.

Exo 26:31  "You are to make a curtain of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely woven linen. Make it with k'ruvim worked in, that have been crafted by a skilled artisan. – A curtain is a devise that separates one domain from the next. Notice the colors that are imbedded in this curtain, like the character that must be imbedded in the lives of a mature believer. Blue is a representative of Divine character, Red symbolical of the Blood of the Lamb. Linen is always a representative of righteousness.

Exo 26:32 Hang it with gold hooks on four acacia-wood posts overlaid with gold and standing in four silver sockets. – The four Acacia post overlaid with gold, represent; the world; Creative works who so ever will may come.

Exo 26:33 Hang the curtain below the fasteners. Then bring the ark for the testimony inside the curtain; the curtain will be the divider for you between the Holy Place and the Especially Holy Place. – The symbol of the Curtain, represent the difference between those who are in the Holy Place and those in the Holy of Holies.

Exo 26:34 you are to put the Ark-cover on the Ark for the testimony in the Holy of Holies. When the Ark is place in the Holy of Holies the Covering must be on it. Those who wish to reach this level of spiritual maturity must have the covering of the two Cherubim upon them. These two Cherubim were the same ones who guarded the Garden of Eden, which also represent, mans exalted state.

Exo 26:35  "You are to put the table outside the curtain and the menorah opposite the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south; put the table on the north side. – The Tabernacle is been furnish from the inside out, so are we as believer. Our transformation starts from the inside out, like a light bulb the illumination come from the inside.

Exo 26:36  "For the entrance to the tent, make a screen of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely woven linen; it should be in colors, the work of a weaver. – The entrance to the tent is guarded by another curtain. This curtain slightly difference from the first, with the addition of the color purple, represent royalty. Revelation 3:21 To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne. Those who sit on the Throne are those who will rule and reign with the Messiyah.

Exo 26:37 For the screen, make five posts of acacia-wood; overlay them with gold; and cast for them five sockets of bronze. These were not wall at the east of the tabernacle, only the screen hanging from the five pillars. The five sockets of brass, brass is only found in the Outer Court, where our justification and deliverance took place. If a believer did not accomplish their Outer Court experience, they could not enter the Holy Place.

Chapter 27

Exo 27:1  "You are to make the altar of acacia-wood, five cubits long and five cubits wide - the altar is to be square and three cubits high. 5 by 5 by 3. Grace time Grace equal perfect redemption. Perfect redemption starts at the Brazen Altar, this altar is were our justification takes place. It represents the Blood that flow from the nail pierce Feet of Yahushua. It is were our spiritual journey begins; it is the Blood over our doorpost so to speak.

Exo 27:2 Make horns for it on its four corners; the horns are to be of one piece with it; and you are to overlay it with bronze. – Although this is a literal translation, it provides no sense of what these so-called horns actually were. They were box-like protrusions at the four corners of the Altar. This is where the blood of sin offering was place. 1Ki 1:50 And Adonijah feared because of Solomon, and arose, and went, and caught hold on the horns of the altar. Apparently, the horns is what we used to take hold of this Altar, as Adonijah did, when he seek forgiveness from his brother Solomon. The number four represents who so ever will may come and take hold of this Altar, of justification, initial salvation.

Exo 27:3  "Make its pots for removing ashes, and its shovels, basins, meat-hooks and fire pans; all its utensils you are to make of bronze. -  These vessels mentioned in this verse served the following purposes: When ashes accumulated on the Altar, they were remove with shovels, which look like dustpans, and placed in the pots. After a sacrificial animal was slaughtered, its blood was accepted in basins, from which it was place on the Altar.

In order to properly burn the parts that were place on the Altar, they were turned over and place on the flame by forks.

Exo 27:4 Make for it a grate of bronze netting; and on the four corners of the netting, make four bronze rings. Two decorative features surrounded the Brazen Altar; one was a copper netting that was attached to it and the other was a border that was carved into the Altar Wall. The netting delineating the midpoint was crucial to the Altar’s function, because the blood of some offerings had to be placed on the lower half of the Altar, while others had to be on its upper half.

Exo 27:5 put it under the rim of the altar, so that the netting reaches halfway up the altar. –

Exo 27:6 Make poles of acacia-wood for the altar and overlay them with bronze. – The carrying pole for this Altar was made from Acacia wood, covered with brass or copper.

Exo 27:7 Its poles are to be put into the rings; the poles are to be on both sides of the altar for carrying it.It is essential to note that, the Torah never say that these poles were not to be removed. These two poles represent the two feet of our Savor that was pierce by the nail on the Cross.

Exo 27:8 The altar is to be made of planks and hollow inside. They are to make it just as you were shown on the mountain. – The Altar was not a solid wooden square, but a hollow box. The importance of obedience is stated here again. Make it just as Moses was shown on the mountain.

The boundaries of the Courtyard was made of linen curtains that was suspended from rods attached to wooden pillars, one pillar every five cubits of curtain. These rods were attached to six by three handbreadth wooden boards that were suspended from the pillars with silver hooks. Silver bands were wound around the pillars, but it is not clear if they were wound around their entire length from top to bottom of it. The courtyard dimensions were one hundred cubits along the north and south boundary, and fifty cubits at the east and west.

Exo 27:9  "Here is how you are to make the courtyard of the tabernacle. On the south side, facing southward is to be tapestries for the courtyard made of finely woven linen, a hundred cubits for one side, -

Exo 27:10 supported on twenty posts in twenty bronze sockets; the hooks on the posts and the attached rings for hanging are to be of silver. -

Exo 27:11 Likewise, along the north side are to be tapestries a hundred cubits long, hung on twenty posts in twenty bronze sockets, with silver hooks and rings for the posts.

Exo 27:12 Across the width of the courtyard on the west side are to be tapestries seventy-five feet long, hung on ten posts in ten sockets.

Exo 27:13 The width of the courtyard on the east side, facing east, will be fifty cubits.

The entrance to the Outer Court was on the east. On that side the curtains were in three sections: On its north and south shoulders, there would be fifteen cubits of curtain, that were hung exactly like those of the other three walls, leaving twenty cubits in the center. An ornate screen that was set back towards the east, allowing people to enter from either side, covered this space.

Exo 27:14 The tapestries for one side [of the gateway] will be fifteen cubits long, hung on three posts in three sockets; - fifteen is the number of rest. Anyone who enter through this gate will have a chance to enter into YAHVEH rest.

Exo 27:15 for the other side there will be tapestries fifteen cubits long on three posts in three sockets.

Exo 27:16  "For the gateway of the courtyard there is to be a screen Twenty cubits long made of blue, purple and scarlet yarn and finely woven linen. It should be in colors, the work of a weaver. It is to be on four posts in four sockets.

Exo 27:17 All the posts all the way around the courtyard are to be banded with silver and to stand in sockets of bronze. – All the support structures were to be banded with silver the metal of atonement, while sitting in bronze the metal symbolize redemption.

Exo 27:18 The length of the courtyard is to a hundred cubits and the width fifty cubits everywhere; with the height five cubits. The tapestries and screen are to be of finely woven linen, and the sockets are to be of bronze. – 100 represent Children of promise, 50 represent Holy Spirit, 5 represent grace. The children of promise will receive the Holy Spirit through Grace.

Exo 27:19  All the equipment needed for every kind of service in the tabernacle, as well as the tent pegs for the tabernacle and for the courtyard, are to be of bronze. –In order to keep the integrity of the Outer Court from falling, they were secure by ropes tied to a pegs that was driven into the ground.

Haftarah

Melechim Alef “First Kings” 5:12-6:13

1Ki 5:12 And יהוה  gave Shelomoh “Solomon” wisdom, as He promised him. And there was peace between Ḥiram and Shelomoh, and the two of them made a covenant. The confirmation of the friendship that was between them hereby. YAHVEH gave Solomon wisdom,  which was more and better than any thing Hiram did or could give him; but this made Hiram love him, and enabled Solomon to improve his kindness, so that they were both willing to ripen their mutual love into a mutual league, that it might be lasting. It is wisdom to strengthen our friendship with those whom we find to be honest and fair, lest new friends prove not so firm and so kind as old ones.

1Ki 5:13 And Sovereign Shelomoh raised up compulsory labor out of all Yisra’ĕl. And the compulsory labor was thirty thousand men. - The laborers whom Solomon employed in preparing materials for the temple. Some were Yisraelites, who were employed in the more easy and honorable part of the work, felling trees and helping to square them, in conjunction with Hiram’s servants; for this he appointed 30,000.

1Ki 5:14 And he sent them to Leḇanon, ten thousand a month by courses – they were one month in Leḇanon, two months at home. And Aḏoniram was over the compulsory labor. – He would employed only 10,000 at a time, so that for one month’s work they had two months’ vacation, both for rest and for the dispatch of their own affairs at home. It was temple service, yet Solomon takes care that they shall not be over-worked. Great men ought to consider that their servants must rest as well as they.

1Ki 5:15 And Shelomoh had seventy thousand bearing burdens, and eighty thousand hewing stone in the mountains, - Others were captives of other nations, who were to bear burdens and to hew stone, and we read not that these had their resting times as the other had, for they were doomed to servitude.

1Ki 5:16 besides three thousand three hundred from the chiefs of Shelomoh’s deputies who were over the work, those ruling over the people who labored in the work. - There were some employed as directors and overseers, 3,300 that supervise over the work force, and they were as necessary and useful in their place as the laborers in theirs; here were many hands and many eyes employed, for preparation was now to be made, not only for the temple, but for all the rest of Solomon’s buildings, at Yerushalayim, and here in the forest of Lebanon, and in other places of his dominion, of which see ch. 9:17–19. He speaks of the vastness of his undertakings (Eccl. 2:4, I made me great works), which required this vast number of workmen.

1Ki 5:17 And the sovereign commanded, and they brought large stones, precious stones, to lay the foundation of the House with hewn stones. The laying of the foundation of the temple; for that is the building his heart is chiefly upon, and therefore he begins with that. It should seem, Solomon was himself present, and president, at the founding of the temple, and that the first stone (as has been usual in famous buildings) was laid with some solemnity. Solomon commanded and they brought costly stones for the foundation; he would do every thing like himself, generously, and therefore would have some of the costliest stones laid, or buried rather, in the foundation, though, being out of sight, worse might have served.

1Ki 5:18 And Shelomoh’s builders, and Ḥiram’s builders, and the men of Geḇal did hew, and prepared timber and stones to build the House. - Messiyah, who is laid for a foundation, is an elect and precious stone (Isa. 28:16), and the foundations of the Messianic Assembly are said to be laid with sapphires, Isa. 54:11, compare Rev. 21:19. That sincerity which is our gospel perfection obliges us to lay our foundation firm and to bestow most pains on that part of our religion which lies out of the sight of men.

Chapter 6

Great preparation had been making for the building of the temple, and here, at length, comes an account of the building of it; a noble piece of work it was, one of the wonders of the world, and taking in its spiritual significance, one of the glories of the church. Here is,

I.                   The time when it was built verse 1,

II.                how long it was in the building verse 37, 38.

III. The silence with which it was build verse 7.

IV. The dimensions of it verse 2, 3.

V. The message YAHVEH sent to Solomon, when it was in the building verse 11–13.

1Ki 6:1  And it came to be, in the four hundred and eightieth year after the children of Yisra’ĕl had come out of the land of Mitsrayim, in the fourth year of the reign of Shelomoh over Yisra’ĕl, in the month of Ziw, which is the second month, that he began to build the House of יהוה . - The temple is called the house of YAHVEH, because it was, directed and modeled by him. Infinite Wisdom was the architect, and gave David the plan or pattern by the Spirit, not by word of mouth only, but, for the greater certainty and exactness, in writing (1 Chr. 28:11, 12), as he had given to Moses in the mouth a draught of the tabernacle.

Dedicated and devoted to him and to his honor, to be employed in his service, so his as never any other house was, for HE manifested HIS glory in it (so as never in any other) in a way agreeable to that dispensation; for, when there were carnal ordinances, there was a worldly sanctuary, Heb. 9:1, 10. This gave it its beauty of holiness, that it was the house of the Lord, which far transcended all its other beauties.

1Ki 6:2 And the house which Sovereign Shelomoh built for יהוה  was sixty cubits long, and twenty wide, and thirty cubits high. – The dimensions are laid down here in verse 2 and 3 according to the rules of proportion. Some observe that the length and breadth were just double to that of the tabernacle. Now that Yisrael had grown more numerous the place of their meeting needed to be enlarged (Isa. 54:1, 2), and now that they had grown richer they were the better able to enlarge it. Where ABBA YAHVEH sows plentifully he expects to reap so.

1Ki 6:3 And the porch at the front of the hĕḵal of the House was twenty cubits long, according to the breadth of the House, and its width ten cubits, from the front of the House. -

1Ki 6:4 And he made for the House windows with narrowed frames. - An account of the windows : They were broad within, and narrow without, Marg. Such should the eyes of our mind be, reflecting nearer on ourselves than on other people, looking much within, to judge ourselves, but little without, to censure our brethren. The narrowness of the lights intimated the darkness of that dispensation, in comparison with the gospel day.

1Ki 6:5 And against the wall of the House he built rooms all around, against the walls of the House, all around the hĕḵal and the Speaking Place. Thus he made side rooms all around. The chambers are described , which served as vestries, in which the utensils of the tabernacle were carefully laid up, and where the priests dressed and undressed themselves and left the clothes in which they ministered: probably in some of these chambers they feasted upon the holy things. Solomon was not so focus upon the grander of the Tabernacle as to neglect the conveniences that were requisite for the offices thereof, that every thing might be done decently and in order.

1Ki 6:6 The lowest side room was five cubits wide, and the middle one was six cubits wide, and the third one was seven cubits wide; for he made narrow ledges around the outside of the House, so as not to lay hold on the walls of the House. - Care was taken that the beams should not be fastened in the walls to weaken them. Let not the church’s strength be impaired under pretence of adding to its beauty or convenience.

1Ki 6:7 And the House, when it was being built, was built with finished stone made ready beforehand, so that no hammer or chisel or any iron tool was heard in the House while it was being built. – The materials are brought in, ready for their place, so ready that there was neither hammer nor ax heard in the house while it was in building. In all building Solomon prescribes it as a rule of prudence to prepare the work in the field, and afterwards build, Prov. 24:27. But here, it seems, the preparation was more than ordinarily full and exact, to such a degree that, when the several parts came to be put together, there was nothing defective to be added, nothing amiss to be amended. It was to be the temple YAHVEH SHALOM of peace, and therefore no iron tool must be heard in it. Quietness and silence both become and befriend religious exercises: YAH’s work should be done with as much care and as little noise as may be. The temple was thrown down with axes and hammers, and those that threw it down roared in the midst of the congregation (Ps. 74:4, 6); but it was built up in silence. Clamor and violence often hinder the work of YAHVEH, but never further it.

1Ki 6:8 The doorway for the middle side room was on the right side of the House. And they went up by stairs to the middle side rooms, and from the middle to the third. – The various level in the Temple was acceptable by stairs, spiritual stairs that is. As Jacob ladder take us up into the various level of heaven. As we grow spiritually we will progress from the outer-court to the Holy Place and eventually into the Holiest of Holy.

1Ki 6:9 So he built the House and completed it, and he panelled the House with beams and boards of cedar.  The task of building was a great undertaking, perhaps greater than Solomon had anticipated.

1Ki 6:10 And he built the side rooms of the structure against all the House, each five cubits high, and they were fastened to the House with cedar beams. Therefore, during the progress of building he received divine encouragement. In view of 3:5; 9:2; and 11:9, this was probably not a direct revelation of Jehovah, but a strengthening through an unnamed prophet.

1Ki 6:11 And the word of יהוה  came to Shelomoh, saying, - Like Moses who build the original portable Tabernacle, Solomon also heard the Word of YAHVEH

1Ki 6:12 “This House which you are building – if you walk in My laws, and do My right-rulings, and shall guard all My commands and walk in them, then I shall confirm My word with you, which I spoke to your father Dawiḏ, - The word ABBA YAHVEH sent to Solomon, when he was engaged in building the temple. YAHVEH let him know that HE took notice of what he was doing, the house he was now building.

None employ themselves for ABBA YAHVEH without having HIS eye upon them. "I know thy works, thy good works.’’ He assured him that if he would proceed and persevere in obedience to the divine law, and keep in the way of duty and the true worship of YAHVEH, the divine loving-kindness should be drawn out both to himself (I will perform my word with thee) and to his kingdom: Yisrael shall be ever owned as my people; I will dwell among them, and not forsake them.’’ This word ABBA YAHVEH sent Shelomoh probably by a prophet.

That by the promise he might be encouraged and comforted in his work. Perhaps sometimes the great care, expense, and fatigue of it, made him ready to wish he had never begun it; but this would help him through the difficulties of it, that the promised establishment of his family and kingdom would abundantly recompense all his pains. An eye to the promise will carry us cheerfully through our work; and those who wish well to the public will think nothing too much that they can do to secure and perpetuate to it the tokens of YAH’s presence.

That, by the condition annexed, he might be awakened to consider that though he built the temple ever so strong the glory of it would soon depart, unless he and his people continued to walk in YAH’s statutes. ABBA YAHVEH plainly let him know that all this charge which he and his people were at, in erecting this temple, would neither excuse them from obedience to the law nor shelter them from HIS judgments in case of disobedience. Keeping YAH’s commandments is better, and more pleasing to him, than building Temple.

1Ki 6:13 and shall dwell in the midst of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and not forsake My people Yisra’ĕl.” - YAH’s promise is reminiscent of the one that He made to Moses in Exodus 25:8.

Ivrim “Hebrews” 8:1-13

In this chapter the apostle pursues his former subject, the priesthood of Messiyah. And,

I.                   He sums up what he had already said verse 1, 2.

II. He sets before them the necessary parts of the priestly office verse 3-5.

III. Largely illustrates the Excellency of the priesthood of Messiyah, by considering the Excellency of the covenant for which Messiyah is the Mediator verse 6 – 13.

Heb 8:1  Now the summary of what we are saying is: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the heavens, - Here is, a summary recital of what had been said before concerning the Excellency of Messiyah’s priesthood, showing what we have in Him, where He now resides, and what sanctuary He is the minister of.

What we have in Messiyah Yahushua; we have a high priest, and such a high priest ”Kohem Hagadol” as no other people ever had, no age of the world, or of the church, ever produced; all others were but types and shadows of this High Priest.

He is adequately fitted and absolutely sufficient to all the intents and purposes of a high priest, both with respect to the honor of ABBA YAHVEH and the happiness of men and himself; the great honor of all those who have an interest in Him.

Where he now resides: He sits on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty on high, that is, of the glorious Kingdom of heaven. There the Mediator is placed, and he is possessed of all authority and power both in heaven and upon earth. This is the reward of his humiliation. This authority He exercises for the glory of our Father, for his own honor, and for the happiness of all who belong to him; and He will by His almighty power bring every one of them in their own order to the right hand of ABBA YAHVEH in heavens, as members of the Order of Melchizedek, that where He is they may be also.

Heb 8:2 and who serves in the set-apart place and of the true Tent, which יהוה  set up, and not man. – What is that sanctuary of which He is a minister: Of the true tabernacle, which YAHVEH hath pitched, and not man. The tabernacle which was pitched by man, according to the appointment of ABBA YAHVEH. There was an outer part, in which was the altar where they were to offer their sacrifices, which typified Messiyah dying; and there was an interior part within the veil, which typified Messiyah interceding for the people in heaven. Now this Tabernacle Messiyah never entered into; but, having finished the work of satisfaction in the true tabernacle of His own body, He is now a minister of the sanctuary, the holy of holies, the true Tabernacle in the Heavens, there taking care of His people’s affairs, interceding with ABBA YAHVEH for them, that their sins may be pardoned and their persons and services accepted, through the merit of His sacrifice.

He is not only in heaven enjoying great dominion and dignity, but, as the high priest of the Kingdom of Heaven, executing this office for them all in general, and every member of His Body in particular.

Heb 8:3 For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and slaughters. So it was also necessary for this One to have somewhat to offer. In this verse the apostle sets before the Yisraelite the necessary parts of Messiyah’s priesthood, or what it was that belonged to that office, in conformity to what every high priest is ordained to.

Every high priest is ordained to offer gifts and sacrifices. Whatever was brought by the people to be presented to ABBA YAHVEH, whether expiatory sacrifices, or peace-offerings, or thank-offerings, must be offered by the Kohem Hagadol “High priest”, who was to expiate their guilt by the blood of the sacrifice, and perfume their gifts and services by his holy incense, to render their persons and performances typically acceptable; so then it necessarily to belongs to the Priesthood of Messiyah Yahushua that He should have something to offer; and He, as the antitype, had himself to offer, his human nature upon the altar of his divine nature, as the great atoning sacrifice that nullified the curse of the law, Deut 28:15.

Because the incense of His own righteousness and merits too to offer for all the people the provision to become Sons of YAHVEH. We must not dare to approach ABBA YAHVEH, or to present any thing to him, except through Messiyah, depending upon his merits and mediation; for if we are accepted, it is only through Him.

Heb 8:4 For if indeed He were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are priests who offer the gifts according to the Torah, - In this verse we see MessiYah Yahushua must now execute His Priesthood in the heavens, in the Holy of Holies, the true Tabernacle which ABBA YAHVEH hath fixed. Therefore the type and shadow of the true Priesthood must be fully answered; having finished the work of sacrificing here on earth, He must go into the heavens, to present His righteousness and to make intercession there.

For, If Messiyah were on earth, he would not be a priest , that is, not according to the Leviticus law, as not being of the line of that priesthood; and so long as that priesthood continued there must be a strict regard paid to the divine institution in everything.

Heb 8:5 who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly, as Mosheh was warned when he was about to make the Tent. For He said, “See that you make all according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.” – All the services of the priest, under the law, as well as every thing in that tabernacle, which was framed according to the pattern in the mount, were only exemplars and shadows of heavenly things. Messiyah is the substance and fulfillment of the priesthood according to the Levitical law.

Something therefore there must be in Messiyah’s priesthood that answers to the high priest’s entering within the veil to make intercession, without which he could not have been a perfect priest; and what is this but the ascension of Messiyah into the heavens, and His appearance at the Right Hand of ABBA YAHVEH for His people, to present their prayers, and plead their cause?

Heb 8:6 But now He has obtained a more excellent service, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was constituted on better promises. - In this part of the chapter, the apostle illustrates and confirms the superior Excellency of the Priesthood of Messiyah after the order of Melchizedek above that of Aaron, from the Excellency of that covenant of grace, of which Messiyah was the Mediator: His ministry is more excellent, by how He is the Mediator of a better covenant.

What is this better covenant? It is a covenant that does not require the killing of animal for the atonement for our sins. The Blood from the feet of Messiyah is for our Justification, the Blood and Water from His side is for our Deliverance, the Blood from His Right and Left hand is for our Sanctification, and the Blood from the Crown of Thorns is for our glorification.

No other animal sacrifice could incorporate all the Altar of the Tabernacle in one sacrifice. In the one sacrifice Messiyah made at Calvary, He gave us all the Blood needed for every Altar in the Tabernacle, making all other sacrifice null-and-void.

In that one sacrifice, every other sacrifice is establish, all the other Covenant is establish. It is the final Covenant; all that has to be done for humanity have been done by Messiyah Yahushua.

Wherever we are we can simply call on the Messiyah name and we are justified by the Blood that flow from His Feet. Wherever we are we can simply apply the Blood and the Water that flow from His side for our deliverance. Wherever we are a believer can simply ask for the infilling of the Holy Spirit based on the Blood from the Right hand of Messiyah. Wherever we are a believer can simply exercise the Blood from the Left Hand of Messiyah when we read the Torah.

Wherever a believer is he or she can simply apply the Blood from His Crown of Thorn when we decide to do Praise and Worship. We have an High Priest who is ever in the Presence of ABBA YAHVEH.

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. The first Covenant was not faulty, for it points to our Messiyah; when Messiyah arrive the Covenant He establish was a complete or as some say a better promises, bases on the promise of salvation to all men, not just to the Hebrew people.

The Hebrew people were suppose to be the one who would evangelize the world, which they failed to do. They were suppose to be the chosen people, today anyone who believe in Messiyah Yahushua, is a chosen people, regardless of nationality, making it a better all encompassing Covenant.

Heb 8:8 For finding fault with them, He says, “See, the days are coming,” says יהוה , “when I shall conclude with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah a renewed covenant, - It is a renewed covenant, even that new covenant that ABBA YAHVEH long ago declared he would make with the house of Yisrael, that is, all who believe in Messiyah are called Yisrael of YAHVEH; this was promised in Jer. 31:31, 32, and accomplished in Messiyah. This will always be a new covenant, in which all who truly take hold of Messiyah by faith shall be always found preserved by the power of ABBA YAHVEH. It is YAH’s covenant; HIS mercy, love, and grace moved for it; HIS wisdom devised it; the Blood of Messiyah that purchased it; HIS wisdom devised it; HIS Spirit that builds establish believers in it.

Heb 8:9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Mitsrayim, because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them,” says יהוה . – The covenant that Messiyah negotiated was that He would take the curse of my sin, the law that was place on the outside of the Ark, Deut 31:26 and nail it to the Stake, no animal could have done that, the blood of animal only covers our guilt, but the blood and the water that flow from His side, covers and remove the stain of guilt from our lives.

The articles of this covenant are very extraordinary, which are sealed between ABBA YAHVEH and HIS people by baptism in the Blood and the Water that flow from Messiyah side; whereby they bind themselves to their part, and ABBA YAHVEH assures them HE will do HIS part; and HIS is the main and principal part, on which HIS people depend for grace and strength to do theirs.

Heb 8:10 Because this is the covenant that I shall make with the house of Yisra’ĕl after those days, says יהוה , giving My laws in their mind, and I shall write them on their hearts, and I shall be their Elohim, and they shall be My people. –  The purpose of ABBA YAHVEH Covenant is always to write HIS law on our heart, as Jeremiah 31:33 and this verse proclaim that HIS people that he will put his laws into their minds and write them in their hearts. He send HIS law to be place on the heart of men, much like the Ten Commandments was place inside the Ark of the Covenant, our job is to study the Torah with the Spirit of Understanding, that the Holy Spirit may write the Law on our heart, Ezekiel 37:26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your EL. 29I will also save you from all your unclean nesses: This is the foundation of the covenant; and, when this is laid, duty will be done wisely, sincerely, readily, easily, resolutely, constantly, and comfortably.

They shall be to ABBA YAHVEH a people, to love, honor, observe, and obey HIM in all things; complying with HIS cautions, conforming to HIS commands, comporting with HIS providences, copying out HIS example, taking complacency in HIS favor.

For those who must do and will do, who have Yahushua for their Messiyah; this they are bound to do as their part of the contract; this they shall do, for ABBA YAHVEH will enable them to do it, as an evidence that HE is their EL and that they are HIS people; for it is ABBA YAHVEH HIMSELF who first founds the relation, and then fills it up with grace suitable and sufficient, and helps them in their measure to fill it up with love and duty; so that ABBA YAHVEH engages both for himself and them.

Heb 8:11 “And they shall by no means teach each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying, ‘Know יהוה ,’ because they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them. – In this verse we see the articles with them that they shall grow more and more acquainted with their EL: They shall all know me from the least to the greatest, insomuch that there shall not be so much need of one neighbor teaching another the knowledge of ABBA YAHVEH.

In the want of a better instruction, one neighbor should be teaching another to know ABBA YAHVEH, as they have ability and opportunity for it.

This private instruction shall not be so necessary under the post Messiyah Covenant as in the Pre Messiyah Covenant was only shadow of things to come; their priests preached but seldom, and but a few at a time, and the Spirit of YAHVEH was more sparingly given out. But under the post Messiyah Covenant there shall be such abundance of public qualified preachers of the gospel, and dispensers of ordinances in the Messianic assemblies, and so great a flocking to them, as doves to their windows, and such a plentiful effusion of the Spirit of YAHVEH to make the ministration of the gospel effectual, that there shall be a mighty increase and spreading of the knowledge in persons of all sorts, of each sex, and of all ages. O that this promise might be fulfilled in our days, that the Mighty Hand of YAHVEH may be with HIS ministers, that a great number may believe and be turned to ABBA YAHVEH!

Heb 8:12Because I shall forgive their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawlessnesses I shall no longer remember.”1 Footnote: 1Jer. 31:31-34, Heb. 10:16-17. – Lawlessness is unrighteousness which is sin. Sin produces the curse of the law, Deuter 31:26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of YAHVEH your EL, that it may be there for a witness against thee. 27For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against YAHVEH; and how much more after my death? 28: 15But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of YAHVEH thy EL,, to observe to do all HIS commandments and HIS statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come against thee, and overtake thee: 16Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field. 17Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

Heb 8:13 By saying, ‘renewed,’ He has made the first old. Now what becomes old and growing aged is near disappearing. – All pre Messiyah covenant have been past away, since the death of Messiyah we have a more comprehensive Covenant establish by the blood that flow from the: Feet, the side, the right and left hand and the crown of thorns.

What ever level of maturity we are, there is blood for every level of our spiritual development. If we are at the Brazen Altar, the Outer court, Blood from Messiyah feet is apply, if we are in the Holy Place the Blood of the Crown of Thorns is available to us. In whatever position we are spiritually, there is a blood waiting for us to apply in faith.
