The word metzora means leper, which refers to the complicated ritual for cleansing a leper and the home of a leper.

Parashas metzora deals with the first stage of the purification process also called deliverance, the office of the Pastor. The uniqueness of the laws of the metzora has established that, despite the fact that his contamination is manifested in a physical sense, it was caused by the degraded spiritual condition of the individual.

Being alone outside the camp will give him or her the opportunity to reflect on their deficiencies and a chance for them to repent so that they can once more be found worthy to reenter the camp. It is important to remember that every action in Torah is to teach us a principle, so do not take it personal.

As soon at that change takes place within the mind and heart, the same Elohim who afflicted him of her will remove the mark of his degradation and he or she can begin the process of reaching maturity. Yisrael is the code word for those who desire to reach Cannan a code word for spiritual maturity also called the Garden of Eden.

They then begin a three-stage purification process that is unique to a metzora. The first part of the ritual was performed with two birds, outside of the camp. It was not a sacrificial service, and the birds did not have to be doves or turtledoves, since they were not offerings. They had to be healthy and kosher birds, but that was all. When that ritual was completed, the metzor was permitted to enter the camp, but he or she was still tamei (ritually unclean) and some of his restrictions remained in force.

After a seven-day waiting period, he or she could bring the offering that would complete the process of purification.

Lev 14:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, - I am YAHWEH You Elohim, I do not Change Mal 3:6 For I am YAHWEH, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Therefore when He speaks as it this case it is forever.

Lev 14:2 “This shall be the Torah of the leper for the day of his cleansing: He shall be brought to the priest, - Since the Torah mentions that his purification takes place during the day, and we as believers must walk in the light, all our actions should be in the day. He is brought to the priest, today he is called the Pastor one of the Mighty Hand of Yahweh, the five fold ministry, at the outskirt of the camp, were it would be easier for them to come and meet him in privacy.

Lev 14:3 and the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall look and see, if the leprosy is healed in the leper, - The person who is now an out cast from the camp must be examine outside the camp before he can be allow back inside. This is not and cannot or should not be a public display, unless the individual have refuse all recommendation of reconciliation and continue in the sin.

Lev 14:4 then the priest shall command, and he shall take for him who is to be cleansed two live and clean birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.- According to Hebrew tradition, this affliction is brought on as a punishment for slander or gossip, therefore his purification is effect the sacrifice of our bird like nature, means the chirping or twittering of birds. The birds must be free of any illness or defects, they must be clean, they must be a species that it permissible to eat.

Cedar wood, because it grows tall, imposing, and wide, the cedar symbolizes haughtiness, pride and ego.
Crimson thread and hyssop, the thread is wool, dyed with a pigment made from a lowly creature, a type of insect or snail, whose identity is unclear.

Thus, it symbolizes the penitent’s newfound humility. Hyssop, a lowly bush symbolizes the same idea of humility.

Atonement for sin requires that the erstwhile sinner purge himself of the moral flaw that causes his misdeeds. The underlying root cause of slander and gossip, the sins that are punished by tzaraas, is haughtiness, because it breeds the contempt for others that let one talk about them callously.

The metzora’s repentance entails a resolve to change themselves, a change that is graphically symbolized by the following three items that accompany his offering.

Lev 14:5 “And the priest shall command, and he shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water. – The slaughter is done in the same manner of shechitah, at the front of the neck with a knife. It may be performed anywhere, but it must be done by a qualified Pastor. Today this running water represent the Blood and water that flows from the side of Messiyah Yahushua.

After the ritual is completed, the bird is buried, not burnt. During the slaughtering of the bird is held over the earth ware vessel so that its blood will flow directly into the vessel containing the fresh spring water. This is the Blood and the Water that flows from the side of Yahushua, for our atonement and our forgiveness.

Lev 14:6 “Let him take the live bird and the cedar wood and the scarlet and the hyssop, and dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. – The live bird must be dip in the blood of the bird that was killed, again represent the Blood that was sacrifice and the bird that will be let loose to carry away our sins. The cedar and the hyssop are tied together with the red thread. Then the bungle is held in the right hand together with the live bird and they are dipped into the blood and water mixture. Signifying the resolving of our haughtiness, our pride, our selfish ego.

Lev 14:7 “And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed from the leprosy, and shall pronounce him clean, and shall let the live bird loose in the open field. – The sprinkling is the application of Blood and the Water seven times over the person. The seven times is one of the perfect numbers. The person is now returned to a perfect state. The bird is now let loose to carry away the sins as the Red Sea took away Pharaoh Army, never to be seen anymore.

Lev 14:8 “And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his garments, and shall shave off all his hair and wash himself in water, and shall be clean. Then after that he comes into the camp, but shall stay outside his tent seven days. – The focus now turn to the sinner, his responsibility does not end with the letting go of the live bird. His sins had been atoned for, now the root causes have to be dealt with.

By washing the garment is to bring it under the scrutiny of Torah, removing anything that is not sanctioned by EL YAHWEH.

The Shaving of the hair is to remove or discard all old thinking, chaos and bring every taught captive to that of Torah. Only them we may allow to enter the camp to a holding area, to see if he or she is truly sanctified.

Lev 14:9 “And on the seventh day it shall be that he shaves all the hair off his head and his beard and his eyebrows, even all his hair he shaves off. And he shall wash his garments and wash his body in water, and shall be clean. – Seven days after the seclusion inside the camp, the individual is again having all the hair on his head shaved, he is again washed his entire garment and his entire body, and then he shall be clean.

The final stage of purification. The person shall bring three animals offering and each one is accompanied by a meal offering of one tenth of an ephah. In this matter the metzora “The sinner” is an exception to the rule, since sin and guilt offering are not usually accompanied by a meal offering.

It may be that the metzora is accorded this honor as Elohim’s Own testimony to the sincerity of his repentance, as evidenced by the removal of his bodily affliction. An ephah is an unit of  dry measure equal to about one bushel, or about 33 liters, or a dry measure of about 64 US pint.

Lev 14:10 “And on the eighth day he takes two male lambs, perfect ones, and one ewe lamb a year old, a perfect one, and three-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, and one log of oil. – On the eight day, the day of new beginning he must take two male lambs, and one ewe, and one log of oil. The oil was used as describe in verse 15 – 18. A log of oil measure with a volume of six eggs, generally reckoned at between thirteen and fourteen fluid ounces. These were to bring a grain offering.

Lev 14:11 “And the priest who is cleansing shall present the man who is to be cleansed, with these offerings, before יהוה, at the door of the Tent of Meeting. – The Pastor who did the cleansing shall present the person who is to be cleansed along with his offering before the Tabernacle for full reinstatement.

Three animals, the meal offering, must be presented at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting. Until the metzora is completed all his offering, he stand alone just outside the eastern entrance to the tabernacle, opposite the Tabernacle entrance so that he is not inside it, but close enough for the Kohen to put oil on him, as required by the verse below.

Lev 14:12 “And the priest shall take one male lamb and bring it as a guilt offering, and the log of oil, and wave them as a wave offering before יהוה. – The Pastor shall take the price of a male lamb, and bring it as a guilt offering, along with the log of oil and presented as a wave offering before EL YAHWEH.

Lev 14:13 “And he shall slaughter the lamb in the place where he slaughters the sin offering and the burnt offering, in a set-apart place. For the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the priest. It is most set-apart. – At the North Part of the Outer Court, the guilt offering like the sin offering is offered. The sacrificial part is then placed on the Brazen Altar. The other parts like the sin offering belong to the pastor. This is where we deal with the root of the problem.

Lev 14:14 “And the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot. – The blood is place on the right ear, the right thumb, and the right big toe, symbolizing that from here on these three body parts must improve himself in mind, deed, and walk.

Lev 14:15 “And the priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

Lev 14:16 “And the priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before יהוה. – The Pastor shall sprinkle the oil westward, in the direction of the Holy Place. For each toss of oil the Pastor symbolize that the individual must walk perfectly from now on. This also speak that for this problem he or she have just repented, they will be tested seven time to see if they have truly overcome it.

Lev 14:17 “And of the rest of the oil in his hand, the priest puts some on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, on the blood of the guilt offering. – The right ear, the thumb, and the right big toe is now anointed and required to operate in perfection for the rest of the person life, until he or she reaches perfection.

As I read through this Parashas

Except in leap years in the Torah cycle, this Torah portion of Tazria is read together with the portion of Metzora on the same Sabbath.  This Parasha of Tazria describe affliction of the skin and reveals the cause of these afflictions that most people should be very careful about what comes out of their mouth. As Yahushua says is in Mat 15:16  And Yahushua said, Are ye also yet without understanding? 17 Do you not yet understand that whatsoever entereth in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught? 18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

How many believers today are careful about what emerges from their mouth? What we say can be as negative and destructive as bad food is to the body. The Hebrew word for leprosy (Tzara’af) correlates to verbal negativity, as in evil speech.

However, negative speech does not always means it is limited to speech; it can also relate to what we sometime do not say, or what we hear, and even what we do not hear. The fact of the matter is, that most of the time we talk and talk and talk, but we do not learn to listen to what other people are telling us.

Just as punishment is afflicted on man because of evil speech, so is he punish because he could have pronounced good words but did it not. For he blemished that speaking spirit, which is composed so as to speak above and speak below. And everything is in holiness.

It is even truer if the nation walks the crooked path and he can talk to them and reprove them yet he is silent, I held my peace and had no comfort and my pain was stirred up.

The importance of listening to others is something that people on a higher spiritual level have always understood. Regardless of whether people are right or wrong, we have a responsibility to listen to them.  If we do not fulfill this responsibility, how can we expect others to listen to us?

If we want to move to a higher spiritual level from which we can teach other disciple, we must also learn how to listen carefully to others. To be save from spiritual leprosy, we must learn to hear twice as much as we speak.

Often it is not what we say but what we do not say that sometime plant the seed of negativity in our consciousness. It is written in Leviticus 18:17 do not hate your brother in your heart,” This does not only say do not hate, but also in your heart. If we hate in our character, it affect us in thought, words, and deeds. So when the time comes to speak, we must be proactive and not reactive and blur out the first thing that come to our mind.

If we are hungry, it is important for us to let some time pass before we react; and when we finally do speak, not only do we release our hurt, but more important we get to reveal the  Light of our Menorah or day of Creation we have experience. We can be a cause rather than an effect and avoid doing actions that result from a reactive nature.

The process of creating our Menorah never changes because of the way we act. Everything that happens to us happens solely to help us on our spiritual journey. We may need some help now and again to help to reach full maturity, but we are told that everything works for good for those who believe.

The word Tazria means she conceived which refers to the law of purification after childbirth. This Parasha describe the afflictions of the skin and reveals the cause of these afflictions.

After the laws of tumah (Contamination) that result from dead animals, the Torah turns to contamination that emanates from human beings. The first subject to be discussed is that of a woman who gives birth, because that is the beginning of life and therefore the start of the decontamination process, otherwise call sanctification.

The creation of human life is not a mystery, yet it is the most sublime phenomenon in the universe. By being a source of life, man and woman become partners with Elohim, in the building of the Kingdom of Heavens.

Our human body is the vehicle by which the soul that is place in it may used to achieve that lofty position of Son of Elohim. This new life begins in a state of tumah, or contamination, spiritual impurity, to show people that life is a process of sanctification. Just as the day starts with darkness and end with the day, so too must our lives star in spiritual; contamination and end with Acceptance.

Life is a process for the creation of righteous sons for the Kingdom, or else what is the reason for creation. After this period of contamination, the new mother begins the cleaning process, culminated by the bringing of an offering.

Before she brings it, she cleanses herself of the contamination, but she still may not consume sacrificial meat or terumah, because the mere absence of contamination is not yet the fulfillment of man’s goal, it is the total absence.

Man’s aspiration must rise higher than the elimination of the negative inclination of the flesh; they must strive for positive spiritual achievement, known as the fruits of the spirit.

A human is not completely cleanse until they come to the Sabbath rest, the Shekinah Glory, by the offering that represent atonement for the past present and all future sins.

Today, it is customary for a woman as soon as she feels well enough to leave home; she goes to a synagogue and hears Kedushah, or a similar part of the service. It is also customary that after frothy or eighty days when she would bring her offering, her husband would be called to the Torah, as a symbolic represents of the offering describe in this chapter.

These offering and ritual symbolize that the birth inaugurates the beginning of the ongoing process of rising up the new born child to a life of righteousness and holiness that will enable EL YAHWEH to say you have fulfilled the entire purpose of creation.

Lev 12:1 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, - Therefore in order to fulfilled this He has given us specific instruction on how to live in this world. Lets read and learn.

Lev 12:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘When a woman has conceived, and has given birth to a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in the days of her monthly separation she is unclean. – The term Tazria means she becomes pregnant. Bringing life into this world is the ultimate deed of sharing or love. Through the power of Tazria, we have an opportunity to do extraordinary acts of love, particularly with someone with whom we have had a problem in the past or perhaps even with a stranger. This sharing or act of love allows us to change in a way that which is not possible before.

Sharing brings so much Light, but sometimes after we connect to an enormous amount of light, there is a terrible feeling of letdown. It is equally important to be just as strong after we have connect to the light as we are when we make the connection, so that the letdown will not be too severe.

The term “as during the days of her separation infirmity” is a time when a woman becomes tamei (ritually unclean or contaminated). The same regulation as those of a menstruant, the Hebrew word niddah means someone who is separated. She remains separated from any marital relations and may not touch anything that must in a state of ritual purity, such as the flesh of offerings. This time period of self impose isolation is seven days.

Lev 12:3 ‘And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is circumcised. – On the eight day, the day of new beginning is when the new egg in her ovaries begins the new cycle. A new potential for life is about to be created, that is why a male child is circumscribed on the eight day.

Although the command to circumcise was given in Genesis 17:10 – 14, it is repeated here again a further expansion of the original command. A male child must be circumcised on the eight day, even if it falls on the Sabbath.

Lev 12:4 ‘And she remains in the blood of her cleansing thirty-three days. She does not touch whatever is set-apart, and she does not come into the set-apart place until the days of her cleansing are completed. – For thirty three (33) days. After the end of the first seven days, she is immerses in water to remove her nidah contamination, following which she assumes a new status for the next thirty-three days. Therefore, there is a frothy day period, the seven day following the birth and another thirty-three more days. In the latter days she is still in a state of partial contamination.

In this state of contamination, she does not touch anything that is holy, nor does she get to enter the church so to speak. It might also possible for her not to even touch her bible.

Lev 12:5 ‘But if she gives birth to a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her monthly separation, and she remains in the blood of her cleansing for sixty-six days. – There are a lot of people who talk about equality, between men and women! Why would the Creator impose such a stringent restriction if it were not for a reason?

Does the birth of a female child impose a higher degree of contamination on the mother? Or is it that the circumcision of the male child is also a form of blood sacrifice for the mother? The female child and mother were to be in a state of contamination for two weeks, and a further sixty-six days more in a partial state of contamination.

The male child is a representative of the Messiyah. It is the goal of every Hebrew girl to bring forth a male child and that child would be the Messiyah, who would save the people of Yisrael. A female child will never be the Messiyah, she will never be circumcised.

Lev 12:6 ‘And when the days of her cleansing are completed, for a son or for a daughter, she brings to the priest a lamb a year old, as a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a sin offering, to the door of the Tent of Meeting. The woman shall bring two offering an elevation and a sin offering, because she seeks atonement for two kinds of sin. The elevation offering for thoughts of try to supplant her husband authority. The sin offering that all women carry with them even today, as Eve learn in the Garden, to eat of the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil, making their own decision.

Lev 12:7 ‘And he shall bring it before יהוה, and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood. This is the Torah for her who has given birth to a male or a female. – We must remember Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow You shall bring forth children; and thy desire shall be for thy husband, and but he shall rule over thee. These two curses place over the woman in this verse as not been lifted, every time a woman perform these two offering, the elevation and the sin offering, it is to help her regain what she had lost in the Garden of Eden by Eve sin.

As I read through this Parashas

This is the 26th Parashas in the Torah Cycle, and Shemini is the Aramaic word mean eighth. The number eight is also the numerical value of the Aramaic word for circumcision, which also has a direct spiritual connection to understanding.

A connection to Binah understanding helps us to internalize the information we constantly absorb during the day and convert into knowledge that understands with our heart, not just our head.

It is the kind of understanding that we need to achieve to be able to connect to the light and to help others do so as well.

At the end of Parashas Tzav, Aaron and his sons, the Mighty Hand of Elohim were instructed to remain in the Tent of Meeting for seven full days while Moses preformed the inauguration service, which began on the twenty third day Adar.

Each day for seven days Moses performed the entire service himself. The inauguration period climaxed with the consecration of Aaron and his sons as Kohanim on the eight-day, the day of new beginning. From that day onward, only the Kohanim were eligible to perform the Tabernacle Service.

This chapter begins on the first day of the first month, the month of Nissan, the eight day of the inauguration service. On that day, the Tabernacle was erected permanently and the Kohanim assumed their new role. This Parashas describe the special service the newly consecrated Kohanim performed on the day they achieved their new status.

Lev 9:1 And on the eighth day it came to be that Mosheh called Aharon and his sons and the elders of Yisra’ĕl. – The first month the month of Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, control all 12 signs. The nature of all vessels is the Desire to receive. Desire in and of itself is not negative. It is what we do with it, whether we share or whether we are selfish that is what matter.

The constellation of Aries, which activate our desire to receive for the self alone. We need to be aware, however, that even acts of sharing can come out of a selfish heart. This is why it is so important to reflect constantly on our motives when sharing with others.

On the eighth day, the day of new beginning, Moses sadly called Aaron and his sons along with the elders, and reminded them why the Tabernacle was build; the sin of the Golden Calf had far reaching result.

The Hebrew word () a word that is often used to indicate what trouble or grief is associated with the narrative. What sadness could there be on the first day of the year? Except for the realization that the Children of Yisrael had lost a glorious opportunity to be the Tabernacle of the Shekinah instead, a structure had to be built in place of them.

Lev 9:2 and he said to Aharon, “Take for yourself a young bull as a sin offering and a ram as a burnt offering, a perfect one, and bring them before יהוה. Before you and your son go before EL YAHWEH, you must bring a young bull, the highest form of sacrifice. We know today that, that bull was a representation of El Yahushua our Messiyah. He was, He is, and He will always be our sin offering and our burnt offering. No man goes to the Father except Thought Him.

The discussion of the sacrifices here teaches us that personal sacrifice is needed to connect to the power of the light. We have to give up momentary pleasure to gain eternal fulfillment.

Lev 9:3And speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Take a male goat as a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb, both a year old, perfect ones, as a burnt offering, - We also know that Aaron and his sons are in the Holy of Holies spiritually, they are require to bring the Bull offering. The ordinary people the nation of Yisrael as a whole in a holy people, they too dwells in the Holy Place spiritually, they must bring a lamb or a calf, which also had to be perfect.

Lev 9:4 and a bull and a ram as peace offerings, to slaughter before יהוה , and a grain offering mixed with oil. For today יהוה  shall appear to you. – The priesthood and the set apart people, the nation of Yisrael, must bring their offering daily. They must bring their peace offering, their grain offering mixed with the anointing, the Holy Spirit, for EL YAHWEH require to meet with us every day.
