Tzav is the 25th in the torah cycle, this word Tzav mean to command. These chapters teaches us how to perform the Principles and Rituals described in Vayikra.

Usually when something of spiritual significant happens on a particular day, it is celebrate on that date every year. The Torah Portion illustrate that the first Sabbath HaGadol, the first revelation of Light, occurred on the 10 of Nissan “Abib,” on a Sabbath, and this revelation of Light occurs again each year on the Sabbath preceding Passover, irrespective on whether the 10th fall on the Sabbath or not.

Sabbath Tzav is the only Sabbath in the entire Torah Cycle that merits the name Sabbath HaGadol, the Great Sabbath all by its self.

There are various explanation for the prominence of this Sabbath. It is called the Great Sabbath because all the Light revealed on the other Sabbath culminate on this Sabbath, the Sabbath before we Passover to the next Torah Cycle.

As the redemption from Egypt commence on the month of Nissan “Abib” and some believe that the Final Correction will also occur on this month.

In this Torah Portion we learn the value of spiritual growth. The hallmark of true spiritual work come when the student complete their spiritual goal and make themselves ready for the next assignment. If we choose to remain at one spiritual revelation, no other spiritual revelation will be made available to us. If we refused to  advance from the first day of Creation, we will never experience the second day.

When the three Disciples were on the Mt. of Transfiguration with Messiyah and they saw Him Transfigure with Moses and Elijah, they taught that was the hight of their spiritual development, they wanted to build three Tabernacle, Messiyah Yahushua said this is only the beginning of what you will see, there was a lot geated things to come.

In this Torah Portion we learn a precious lesson, that any great revelation is preceded by a time of Great sacrifice; hopelessness comes before a time of great elevation, The Sabbath of Tzav marks the end of the spiritual year and the beginning of the next. The Sacrifice one made in the last Torah Cycle will manifest in the fruit of the Spirit for the next Torah Cycle.

The first two chapter in Tzav discuss the offerings that have already been mentioned in previous chapter, such as: Olah offering (elevated offering), Minchah (meal offering), Shelamim (peace offering), Chatas (sin offering), and  Asham (guilt offering). The sin offering and the guilt offering is always a female animal, while the peace, elevation are male animals.

The Torah and its principles are written to those who wishes to become apart of the Kingdom of Heavens. The Torah speaks to Aaron and his four sons, the Mighty Hand of EL YAHWEH, the Five Fold Ministry on how they are to impart or to teach the people the laws require to sanctify them on their journey to perfection, which is one of the key requirements of the Kingdom.

Verse 1 – 6 continue to reveal to us the principle upon which the Kingdom is establish. The following verse deal with the handling of ash and and the fire from the Altars. The Tabernacle of the day require the removal of the previous day’s ash from the Altar.
In, addition, there was a general commandment to keep the Altar burning at all  time.

Chapter 6

Lev 6:1  And יהוה  spoke to Mosheh, saying, - It is always intresting to know that when a new sets of rule or principles are given, it always starts with, “EL YAHWEH spoke to Moses” that there can be no doubt who is the originator of the Idea.

Lev 6:2When any being sins, and committed a trespass against יהוה , and has lied to his neighbor about a deposit, or about a pledge, or about a robbery, or shall extort from his neighbor, - This is what the EL of all Elohim, the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth says! When anyone who committed a transgression by lying, this is what they must do. Before we get to what must be done, notice how He compare those who lie, those who rob and those who extort from his neighbor, are from the same spirit. What this commandment is addressing is a particular mentality that is govern my a certain spirit. This was the spirit that the angels who followed Lucifer had, when they were in the Kingdom.

Lev 6:3 or has found what was lost and has lied concerning it, or did swear falsely, so that he sins in regard to any one of all these that a man does, - A person who found a lost item off another brother and did not return the item to his neighbor and lied to protect himself are one of the same sin.

Lev 6:4 then it shall be, when he sins, and shall be guilty, that he shall return what he took by robbery, or what he has extorted, or the deposit which was deposited with him, or the lost item which he found, - It shall be when he decided to own up to his transgression, He must return first what was taken. He cannot just say I am sorry. That does not work.

Lev 6:5 or all that about which he swore falsely. He shall repay its total value, add one-fifth more to it, and give it to whom it belongs, on the day of his guilt offering. – If in the process of lying, he cost someone else to experience a lost, He must return it plus 20%. When he goes to do his sin offering he must also bring 20% of the cost to his neighbor.

Lev 6:6Then he brings his guilt offering to יהוה , a ram, a perfect one, from the flock, with your valuation, as a guilt offering, to the priest. – He must then bring his guilt offering the cost of a perfect lamb to the congregation, and El Yahushua will make the necessary atonement for him. The guilt offering does not negate that restoration of the item lose to the victim as is often taught today. Restoration in full plus 20% must be made. This fine is a deterrence against sinning. If however, all a person has to do is to ask for forgiveness without compensation to the victim, then the impetuous to change one behavior is greatly diminishes. Just saying I am sorry is not good enough. There must be a penalty, even if the evidence was not deliberate. The guilty party must also acknowledge his error, as action contrary to Torah.

We cannot overcome our sin if we do not acknowledge of sin, for our sin expose a problem in our character. By paying a fine to the injured party, and acknowledge of error, the spiritual process of repairing that flaw will start, the dismantling of the spirit “root cause” behind this tendency to break any of the command in this discussion.

Lev 6:7And the priest shall make atonement for him before יהוה , and he shall be forgiven for whatever he did that made him guilty.” – El Yahushua will make atonement for us only when the previous requirement are made. By acknowledging our fault as contrary to Torah and make the necessary monetary contribution, El Yahushua will atone for our sins, this will release the Holy Spirit to do a work in us, which will end up with the creation of a new attitude towards that sin.

Lev 6:8 And יהוה  spoke to Mosheh, saying, - Again we read that it is EL YAHWEH who spoke to Moses, it did not say that Moses wrote his own words.

Lev 6:9Command Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘This is the Torah of the burnt offering: This is the burnt offering, because it is burned on the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar is kept burning on it. – Command the Mighty Hand, the five Fold Ministry to implement the following law or teaching to the people, re-guarding the burnt offering. It should be burned all night until morning.

The spiritual implication, is that when anyone come to Justification, initial salvation and offer a burnt offering, those things that we need to get rid of, we must not stop working with that individual until all the offering, those bad habits are taken care of at this Altar. This also imply that the Brazen Altar must remain open 24/7 that whosoever may come at any time will find this Altar open to them.

The night, represent those dark period of our live when we are required to remove those or anythings that cause us to be in darkness spiritually.

Lev 6:10 And the priest shall put on his linen garment, and put his linen trousers on his body, and shall take up the ashes of the burnt offering which the fire has consumed on the altar, and shall put them beside the altar. -  Although this verse only specified two garments, the majority of the Kohem service is invalid unless he wears all four of his required vestments. These two garments seem to imply that the require minimum covering for this position is righteousness, righteousness is living according to the all the law. If the priest is living according to the basic requirement of the law, they are qualify to operate at this position spiritually.

The ash of the burn offering is that which is the residue of the cleansing process, those thing that have gone Thought the fire, the ash is what is left over from the process.  When some have gone through the fire of affliction, and those things that are nothing more than stubble's, useless commodities, are exposed, this level of priesthood may assist in the final removal of the ash. Ash is nothing more than useless waste, things that are of no spiritual value. The fire of affliction exposes these commodities to or character traits to us, these traits must not be allowed to exist within the camp. These ash, even Thought they are not of themselves evil, they are off no value spiritual.

This Torah Portion is the 24th portion in the yearly Torah Cycle, it begins with the Word “Vayikra El Moshe,” and God “EL” called to Moses and he responded. How was this voice spoken? Does it really matter? Moses was called and he responded. How much of us would respond as Moses did?

Every time Moses is called it is when a new command or a new project a new principle was to be established.

The last chapter in Exodus relates that the Corporate Tabernacle had been built and became a fitting-resting place for the Shechinah Glory, EL YAHWEH’S Presence, and for the sacrifice service.

So awesome was the Shechinah of EL YAHWEH, when it covers the Tabernacle that not even Moses could enter it. In the following verse, we hear EL YAHWEH calling Moses to enter the Tent of Meeting; Assuring Moses that the Tabernacle was built for the benefit of the people.

When EL YAHWEH called Moses, it was exclusively to Moses alone. EL YAHWEH’S Voice is powerful enough to shatter the cedars of Lebanon, and be heard throughout the world, but He called Moses by name. EL YAHWEH’S Word was spoken for all to hear, it was the people who were not worthy of hearing it.

This Sabbath of Vayikra gives us the opportunity to be the Vayikra El Moses, the one who hears the call of ABBA YAHWEH. We must have the Spirit of Wisdom and Understanding to recognize the Calling of ABBA YAHWEH, for us alone.

How we see our lives is exactly how our lives will be. Every day, we experience scores of situations, some important, some not so important, some pleasing some not so pleasing. How do we evaluate their spiritual significant is important?

How we choose to perceive the various circumstances of our lives, those moments we could view each messages as coincidences or annoyances, we can either accept them as light from the CREATOR or denied them as spiritual lessons.

I can view the car key I could not find, which was right in front of me as the CREATOR preventing me from meeting in an accident, if I had leave two minute earlier, or a means of practicing patience.

Lev 1:1  And יהוה called to Mosheh, and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting, saying, - The Hebrew (קרא) word “call” come from the word (קרב) mean to bring near, also means that EL YAHWEH wishes to speak to Moses, and purposefully called to him. EL YAHWEH’S prophecy to Balaam in Numbers 23:16, however, is introduced by (קרה) without the end letter(ה), a word that has two connotations: Change (דּבר) and spiritual contamination as in I Samuel 20:26. This implies that while EL YAHWEH had a reason to talk to Balaam, He did not do so lovingly.

EL YAHWEH spoke to Moses from the Tent of Meeting, the Tabernacle. This was a moment when EL YAHWEH wanted to impress upon Yisrael that they, not Moses alone had the responsibility to be worthy of receiving or hearing the Voice of Elohim.

It was the first revelation in the newly constructed Tabernacle, which had been built with their effort, as the Place where EL YAHWEH’S presence would rest corporately.

Now it was important for them to be made aware of their responsibility to maintain a high level of Holiness. Therefore, the verse’s emphasis that this prophesies was given in the Tent of Meeting.

The Hebrew word (אמר) usually means that Moses was instructed to convey EL YAHWEH’S teaching to the nations. EL YAHWEH wanted Moses to convey the inspiring but sobering message, that His awesome degree of prophecy was granted only for the benefit of the people, and only as long as they remained worthy of it.

When a (קרא) small alef appears at the end of the word Vayikra “and He called”. Vayikra refers to Yahweh calling to Moses. Many times we are called by Yahweh; the Creator frequently gives us messages in dreams ant through other people, but we do not always hear them. The small alef is a reminder that we must reduce our ego in order to hear the still small voice of Yahweh.

Lev 1:2 “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘When a man among you brings an offering to יהוה, you bring your offering of the livestock, of the herd or of the flock. – This verse layer out the general rule of offering. It introduces the subject of animal offering, and the sort of animal that are ineligible for the sacrifice. Sacrifices are nothing more that pictorial words, design to teach us a pattern we need to follow. This is a form of the Written Word been spoken, or you may call it the Oral Torah. When it is been done, it becomes the fulfilled Torah.
When a man who is the head of the family, brings an offering, the Hebrew word uses here is (Adam) meaning any man, regardless of nationality may bring it. This offering is to draw us closer to EL YAHWEH and to help us elevate ourselves before Him. The common translation, sacrifice, does not capture the essence of the meaning of the phrase. It could also mean that when we sacrifice our body, we also elevate ourselves spiritually.
Throughout the Torah the four letters Hebrew word (יהוה) represent the Character of the Mercy of EL YAHWEH, the Name used in connection with offering, never the name Elohim, which represent the Attribute of Judgment. Offering is a means to draw near to יהוה the merciful Elohim.
If anyone offer to EL YAHWEH an offering, it represent your sincere effort to draw closer to Him, then your offering take on the exalted state of an offering made by fire to EL YAHWEH. However, if we merely go through the notions of performing the physical acts of the service, then unfortunately, it remains merely an act. It must also cost the giver something; it cannot come from another source.

Lev 1:3 ‘If his offering is a burnt offering of the herd, let him bring a male, a perfect one. Let him bring it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, for his acceptance before יהוה. The first type of offering describe here is is the cattle; which represent the energy of death and help us to remove death from our lives.

Whenever good things of any kind come to an end, the cause of the end is the Angel of death. This Torah reading is a powerful weapon to weaken the Angel of death in our lives, ultimately we will achieve the death of death itself, resulting in immortality for ourselves and for the world.

An elevation offering is also called an olah-offering in Hebrew. Brought by someone who has a praise offering, he must offer a male the positive energy which the Torah. If can be brought, by anyone who have some sort of rejoicing, that have not been carried out in deed, and by anyone who attended any of the three pilgrim feast.

As I read through this Parashas

This Parashas Pekudei which means “The Accounts” is the 23rd Torah Portion, and the last story of the book of Exodus; it begins with a detailed listing of the amount of Gold, silver, and copper that was contributed for the construction of the Tabernacle, which Moses was building. This sound very simplistic, but when we read the account, we realize that what actually took place, particularly the secondary account, it was much more complicated.

In this chapter we learn the value of the tools that have been given to us. When we experience chaos in our lives, it is because we have forgotten or neglected to make use of the tools available to us. Abba Yahweh often directs us to act in a certain way, and yet we all too often do not listen to His direction. We all have apart of of Yahweh within us, and yet we all too often do not act as if we do.

Every time we treat someone unkindly, we are not reflecting the God inside of us. This is an indication that we do not always value what Yahweh tells us. It is important to remember that Yahweh exists in everyone of us and that negativity has an effect on the whole world.

When Moses descended from Mt Sinai with the second set of Tablets, he returned with a message from the CREATOR. They were to build a Tabernacle where the Shekinah of ABBA YAHWEH could dwell among the Yisraelites.

For the next weeks are so, the Yisraelites gathered the requisite building materials. What happen with all the wood, gold, silver, bronze, and fabric that had been collected?

Torah say all the material was packed away somewhere in the Camp despite the fact that the metals were deposited with Moses and were under the supervision of Bezalel, leadership whose greatness and integrity were indisputable, were known to the people, and attested to by EL YAHWEH, Moses made a full accounting of all proceeds and use of contributions. He would not rely on assumptions, for leaders must be beyond reproach and must keep accounts of the funds that pass through their hands.

Exo 38:21 These were the reckonings of the Tabernacle, the Dwelling Place of the Witness, which was appointed by the command of Mosheh, for the service of the Lĕwites, by the hand of Ithamar, son of Aharon the priest. – “There are” this suggests homiletically that the one meaningful reckoning is the account one makes of the resources that are devoted to building EL YAHWEH’S sanctuaries and otherwise used for the sake of the Kingdom. Only such investments are eternal; the others are transitory.

The tabernacle, the Dwelling Place are the same, why the repetition? In this context, the word Tabernacle includes all the vessels and utensils contained in the structure.

Collectively they are given the name Tabernacle because it is the abode of the Ark, which contained the Tablets of Testimony. The reason it is necessary for the Torah to tell us here is that we are speaking of the entire structure and its contents. The double mentioning of the name alludes to the two Tabernacles, the Corporate and the individual.

The corporate structure is to be a continual reminder to the people of what they are to focus their resources on. The corporate Tabernacle was to last as a reminder from generation to generation for a people on their way to perfection. The people would look at it and remember the sins of the Golden Calf, and what they had lost in the process. This body of flesh is the real objective of the lesson of Torah, to transplant our ego, therefore making our body into the Tabernacle of the Holy Spirit, here on earth. That what Torah called the living Torah, when we embedded, when we write the Torah on our heart, we fulfilled Torah, and its purpose.

Exo 38:22 And Betsal’ĕl son of Uri, son of Ḥur, of the tribe of Yehuḏah, made all that יהוה  had commanded Mosheh. - Betsalel illustrate a type of ministry that produces this character in humans according to the Command written in Torah. Taking the individual from initial salvation all the way to full maturity, which is the goal of this ministry.

Exo 38:23 And with him: Oholiaḇ son of Aḥisamaḵ, of the tribe of Dan, an engraver and designer, an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet material, and in fine linen. - Both men were like the Prophet and the Teacher. Oholiab was the teacher who writes the Torah on our hearts, as he engraves different symbols on the Altars of the Tabernacle. Every Altar represent a stage in our spiritual development, it is incumbent on the ministry associated with each altar to make sure that every individual experience to their fullness all the spiritual principle each altar has to teach.
