The Spirit of Knowledge and
 The Spirit of Wisdom
As I read through this Parasha

This Torah portion of  Va’era is the fourteen Parashat in the Torah reading cycle, it  begins with the Creator’s revelation to Moses: I am יהוה. The Name of the Creator, which represents a high level of revelation and Light.  יהוה goes on to say I appeared to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, as EL SHADDAI, but by this NAME יהוה, I did not make myself  known to them. To Moses, however, the CREATOR is revealing a greated Light of HIMSELF.

Why does the revelation of the higher Name of the CREATOR occur in the Portion of Va’era? It has to do with the conclusion of the last Parashat Shemot. In it Moses tells the CREATOR that the suffering of the Yisraelites had only become worst since he spoke to Pharaoh. This seams to imply that Moses did not have the necessary revelation of Light from the CREATOR to affect the necessary change in Pharaoh Response. Therefore, the CREATOR decide to reveal HIMSEL as יהוה.

In this Parasha, יהוה made it clear that HE had given more to Moses that anyone else before him. In this Parasha we can draw from the lesson of Moses, when we do not accept the establish status quo, we cannot always ask יהוה for a further revelation of HIMSELF to us.

Moses skillfully coined the phrase that if the Believers, the children of light did not believe in his present level of enlightenment, how would the Pharaoh the prince of darkness. The Torah tells us that the Children of Light could not hear him, because of the years of slavery. This influence of the darkness was so great that it was keeping the generation of Moose from responding to the Light. Moose was the right conduit, however the Children of Light could not respond to the level of light Moses was reflecting, due to the effect of slavery in the flesh.

In this Parasha, we may call on the ABBA יהוה to help us to see and ask for a great revelation of the broadcast Light. As we overcome the doubts that block our revelation from flowing. Elisha was in a hopeless situation, because of the King of Aram intent on killing he and his apprentice. The next morning the two men woke up to find themselves surrounded by Aran’s army. The Apprentice Gehazi did not know what to do, Elisha took him by the hand, and ask him what do you see? He reply, I see angels surrounding the mountain to protect us. It was only then that a miracle happened. The light of the sun grew so bright that it blinded the eyes of Aran’s soldiers.

Why was it so important for Elisha to take Gehazi by the hand and ask him what he saw? By taking Gehazi by the hand, Elisha establish a spiritual bond between them, he took Gehazi a set higher for him to received a higher revelation, where he could see the world in its spiritual context. The spiritual perspective of a person in the valley is not the same as one on the mountain top.

The message Moses was conveying about ABBA יהוה is that because of the time spend in slavery in Egypt, they had developed a spirit of doubt which would make them unable to accept the light that Moses brought. Like Gehazi, it is all about their spiritual consciousness. On this Sabbath of Va’era we may pray earnestly for El Yahushua to grant us grace that we may ask for more revelation of Light for us and our family.

There is a reason why Aaron and not Moses was ask to create the first plague of the turning the Nile into blood. When Moses was place in the ark and place on the water, it was the river that protected Moses, it would be spiritually inappropriate for ABBA יהוה to ask Moses to strike the very river that protected him.

We may read this and think what feeling does a river have? Here in this Parasha we have been provided with an insight into the nature of consciousness. All inanimate object are connect through a network of energy of light.

There are four level of consciousness: inanimate, vegetable, animal, and human. Everything in our world are alive, even a chair.  By developing the awareness of the interaction between ourselves and everything else will help us to complete our correction our tikkum, for that is the purpose of life. Throughout our life as it were in Moses we also need assistance from object such as water, trees, rocks, fire, he was constantly interacting with inanimate object. However, most of us are unaware of the role inanimate object play in our spiritual development.

On this Sabbath Moses approaches the ABBA יהוה and ask how he can bring about the final correction the Gemar HaTikkun if the Yisraelites of his time did not listen to him. Moses was not just talking about the believers of his day; he was speaking prophetically about us. Without the awareness of faith or belief, how can we escape the war machine of the Mighty Army of Pharaoh? How can we overcome the force of darkness if we cannot bring the Light of the CREATOR in our world.

Without faith in Messiyah Yahushua, we just cannot do it. So how can we arrive at Faith? We achieve it by looking for the Truth that dwells in Messiyah Yahushua, because the whole world speaks of Him, much the same way we desire the Word of Torah.
The prophet Isaiyah explain that prior to the Final Correction, the dark before the calm, there has to be some level of concealment, so we must find a way to see through the darkness.

One of the blessings of Va’era is that we can ask for the Spirit of Might and Council of Moses by not accepting things as they are and by treating all things with respect. When we see the world as a source of infinite possibility, when we look through the Spirit of Wisdom, we will be looking beyond the surface to the greater truth that lies beyond the veils of what is, to what it will be, our doubts become the fertilizer for our faith, and miracles become possible.

At the end of the last Parashat Moses was seeing complaining that Elohim had send him in vain, for instead of helping the people, he had only make it worst for them. In this Parashat we see EL YAHVEH response to Moses. YAHVEH spoke sternly to Moses, comparing him to unfavorably to the Patriarchs, who maintain their faith without complaint, even though they were not privilege to see the fulfillment of the promise. While Moses who had been told that the redemption was at hand, he was so disillusioned that he could not wait for EL YAHVEH to carry His plan to its conclusion, as he defined it.

The ten plagues of Egypt that occur in this Parasha, represent the ten level of Satan’s negative kingdom of darkness. When we read about the plagues in the original Hebrew, we are inoculated with a spiritual antidote to help us overcome those negative forces.
